We ontdekten het tuinrestaurant van het hotel bij het langsrijden en hebben er gelijk 's avonds gegeten. Zonder reservering werden we gastvrij ontvangen. Heerlijk gegeten, onder andere ravioli met ricotta en walnotensaus. De rode wijn werd te warm geschonken en na onze opmerking hierover direct van de rekening gehaald, netjes! Je kunt hier prima een avond doorbrengen.

Dit is een prima hotel als uitvalsbasis voor bezoeken aan Florence, Lucca en Pisa. Het personeel was behulpzaam. Als je iets wilde hebben dan even een seintje en je kon het krijgen. Het personeel spreekt over het algemeen een aardig woordje Engels. Het ontbijt was van een uitstekende kwaliteit het diner was heerlijk en een lekker wijntje erbij voor een redelijke prijs. Dit is echt vakantie. Elke dag werden de kamers gedaan en schone badlakens.

- Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. 24/7 receptie. - Geweldig restaurant met een goes ontbijt. - Heerlijk zwembad met goede ligstoelen. - Klassieke kamer, groot en schoon. - Steden Florence, Lucca, Pisa en de cinque terra op redelijk korte afstand.

Checkig in and out was seamless. Upon getting to our room, I realized the shower had no hot water nor did the sink and shower could not fully turn off. I called downstairs and someone came up promptly to check then we were given another room. I do agree with one review re carpet in hallway. It really should be removed.
The villa is archaic with some charm if you like fancy hotels this is not the place for you. I highly recommend renting a car if you want to get around the area--thank God we did! Ample parking on premises. Shopping (touristy) is 25 minutes by car. The villa is perfect for relexation and quiet. To date, they serve the BEST grape juice I have ever had--no complaints about the breakfast melons served were sweet and delicious. No AC issues and the weather at the time of our visit was mercilessly hot.
I would stay here again for the charm and stillness of the area. Mr. Massimo and staff were both courteous and very helpful in helping us find shopping areas. Thank you Villa delle Rose for a lovely stay

This is a beautiful hotel with an incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. I visited with a large tour group and stayed there 7 & 8 July 2023. We ate dinner in the hotel the first night and the food was delicious! The roast pork was amazing! The woman who seemed to be running the dining room made us feel like we were family, and in spite of the group being so large, she was very attentive to all of us. Additionally, the gentleman who was working the bar as well as the front desk on Saturday evening, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable the grounds were beautiful. I would definitely stay there again!

First thing to note is there is a clock tower in the town that chimes every hour, no matter if day or night. It can be midnight and expect 12 loud chimes etc. Fine if you're a heavy sleeper, but personally I didn't enjoy being awoken at 4am! The hotel itself is fine. Some guests will enjoy the traditional feel it has. Personally, I found the brown glass, and faded carpets a bit old fashioned. However it functions well. The pool area is lovely. There's plenty of parking, and the staff are helpful. Many of the guests were on coach tours and arrived late and left early, which meant the pool was nice and quiet both afternoons we were there. Doesn't matter at all, but as a couple in our 30s, we were definitely the youngest guests by about 30 years, which is fine by me, just an observation 😊

The hotel itself was immaculate. The staff was amazing. The back area of the hotel which we overlooked included trash, standing water and open trenches. The air conditioning did not work. The checkout process was extremely long due to problems with their credit card machine. But the staff quality was so good, then any other problems were minor.

Villa delle Rose exceeded my expectations and was a lovely place to stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast was varied and well done. Staff took the extra time to speak to me in Italian so I could practice. I'll definitely return!

The hotel was qlean and the staff generous and helpful, but the room and facilities are in general a bit dated. The food in the restaurant was good which was lucky since all other restaurants in the area were closed when we were there in the middle of August, due to vacation. The pool looks very nice in the pictures, but in real life is not that exciting and it is located just beside a busy road so it's not that relaxing, although the pool bar was good.
