Locanda Al Castello

It is in such a beautiful spot. At the top of the old towns hill. Beautiful views!! Staff were helpful and even brought us to and from our car with our luggage in their vehicle. Their place was in a restricted driving spot where the roads were quite narrow for a car…unless you are used to driving on those kinds of roads. Walking distance to the city ctr and the beach.

One of the most unbelievable properties we’ve ever stayed at! Amazing views, lovely staff, spacious room. Just a heads up that it is located in the pedestrian only zone, so if you have a car you have to pay to park in town and walk in. The staff even offered to drive us both directions with our bags, which was very kind. It’s about a 5 minute walk down the charming cobblestone street. The hotel is situated near the end of the street, so the location has stunning views. Worth booking a room with the ocean view & balcony. 10/10 would recommend! We will be back :)

Al Castello is a love place and operated by lovely staff. Our room had the most spectacular view of the ocean, it was also very clean and a very nice size

The first time I stayed at Locanda Castello was in around 1985 and I stayed there several times over the years. I returned this weekend after a break of 25 years and was delighted to see it's still in the family hands, and still has its distinctive charm. Friendly, trusting proprietors and staff, one of the best views I know anywhere in the world. I was the only guest - an awesome start to 2022! Will be back with my family soon.

Sabato sera, con un gruppo di amici abbiamo deciso di mangiare una pizza in questo locale situato su un lato della piazza che costeggia il castello, posizione davvero gradevole, peraltro piacevolmente ventilata, nonostante la serata afosa. Avevamo prenotato per le 21:00. Alle 21:25 ordiniamo le nostre pizze e nell'attesa (ci era stata preannunciata un'attesa di circa 35 minuti) ci facciamo portare delle porzioni di patatine fritte e delle crocchette. Dopo circa un'ora delle nostre pizze nemmeno l'ombra. In sostanza, dopo una garbata lamentela, la prima pizza, di 10, ci viene servita alle 22:55. L'ultima veniva servita circa un quarto d'ora dopo. La cosa strana era che il locale era si pieno, ma non affollato e tra l'altro nella maggior parte dei tavoli non si stavano consumando pizze. Inoltre, i camerieri non sembrava servissero i tavoli a un ritmo forsennato, anzi la maggior parte del tempo uscivano senza servire portate, ma girovagando spaesati tra i tavoli. Ora capisco che era sabato, ma un'ora e mezza di attesa per una pizza, avendo prenotato, mi sembra eccessivo! Peccato, perché il posto è carino e la pizza davvero buona, credo che ciò che difetti sia una buona organizzazione, considerato che al momento di pagare il conto ho appreso che facevano anche asporto. Non credo che ci ritornerò e cmq non di sabato!

Maria è una host fantastica! È andato tutto perfetto e la location è strepitosa, la vista mozzafiato e la pulizia maniacale. La colazione era super abbondante e molto buona, non sapevamo da dove iniziare! Non volevamo andar via per quanto fosse rilassante, bello e comodo.

Sono ritornata dopo due anni e non posso che riconfermare tutte le impressioni positive su questo posto magico e su chi lo gestisce .Maria, una padrona di casa come poche,gentile e sempre disponibile. Un ringraziamento va anche al suo caro papà Luigi, a suo marito Massimo e a Giovanna.Una settimana da sogno. Grazie di cuore a tutti voi. A prestissimo!

Notre chambre était parfaite avec la plus belle vue en ville de notre balcon. Les déjeuners étaient excellents et l'hôte très sympathique. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et nous y retournerons!
