Hotel Iris

It is in great location. 2 minutes to elevator which gets You to old town with old landmarks. Also everything is reachable by walking. Stuff - Amazing from capittal letter A. Parking which is very covenient is just by the door. Room was warm and it was very good as we visited in the end of November. Also really suggest to go to hotels iffered restaurant Cantinone. Rooms clean and convenient, but not posh.

A great value hotel. We stayed only one night, but enjoyed the hotel's central location, on-site parking, and the gracious service. Hotel Iris exudes a wonderful faded elegance: painted ceilings a bit faded, a crumbling but functional balcony surrounded by trees and birdsong. Despite the building's age, it was very clean and the bathroom was up to date. If you want value and atmosphere, this is your hotel.

I chose Hotel Iris because it's steps away from the Partigiani bus station (where you'll likely arrive to/depart from). Very friendly and outgoing staff who make sure you're comfortable even before you arrive. The building has old charm (I loved it) and I got a big room with a view and a comfortable bed. Very nice terrace for breakfast or a coffee. The lift to go up to the Rocca is steps away (if you don't take the lift, it's also a lovely walk). Recommended!

Me & my partner visited Perugia two weeks ago for the first time. The two brothers at reception were extremely helpful in teaching us how to navigate around the city. They also helped us buy and print out football tickets to one of the games which was a nice touch! I've stayed in many hotels around the Europe and in the UK, and never had an experience where the host is so helpful and interactive with the guests, but it was a great bonus in all! The hotel itself is in a great location. It is around 5 minutes up the escalators to the main city centre but also a little downtown to allow you to visit more authentic and rural sites! It is also right next to the bus station that takes you to different cities, which we used to go to Florence and also a vineyard for the day! The hotel is a beautiful historic building, very unique to the modern commercialised places which I personally appreciated. Was a fabulous hotel and I recommending to any travellers looking to explore Perugia in the best way possible!

Liked · The hotel itself has the charm of a slowly decaying building located on higher level than the street. Thrre is a terrace in front of it which offers views to the city and the mountains in a distance. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful and offered advice on what to do/see and where to eat. The wifi worked perfectly and the modern shower offered hot water at a good pressure. I slept quite well in the comfy bed. Disliked · The room doors weren’t noise-insulated and thus you could always hear people walking by talking.

We had a night at this hotel as a family of four. Property is a lovely old hotel just on the edge of the old town. The old town can be accessed through a walk from the front of the hotel or via the escalator 100 yards behind the hotel. Room was small but comfortable (bunk beds and a double bed with ensuite bathroom). Bathroom was modern and both room and bathroom were spotless. No air conditioning but fans are provided in the room and large shuttered windows to the outside provide ventilation (but it does get hot on very hot days). Owners were lovely (one even gave us a lift to the train station when our cab did not show up on time). The hotel itself is a great building - fantastically decorated ceilings and a really nice terrace overlooking the walled entrance to the old town (where breakfast is also served). Breakfast is basic and good value (coffee and pasty). Loved the ambience of hotel.
