Hotels met parkeergelegenheid in St. Johns County

We stayed at this venue for two nights for our trip to St. Augustine. The hotel was very clean and had been recently updated. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. We immediately felt comfortable there. On the first day, we went to breakfast at 9:30. There were no egg products available and a couple of bits of sausage. There were NO FORKS!!! We spoke to the person who oversaw the breakfast and she apologized and said there were no forks. I complained to the front desk and they agreed to take the parking charge ($20/day) from our bill. The following day, the breakfast was fully stocked, even forks! This hotel is a gem. Close to everything. We would definitely stay there again.

It was our first time staying at the Renaissance Historic Downtown Hotel. As we pulled in, we were Approached by the valet, who was very polite and kind. We walked into the lobby side door in immediately. There was a very pleasant and refreshing smell throughout the hotel. We immediately began to notice the decor which was very unique and impressive. As we approached the front desk to check in, the receptionist who was a young man, was very prompt and polite, and willing to share information about the area. As we went up to our room, we couldn’t help but notice the beautiful decor as well as how clean the environment was. I have been in the commercial cleaning business for over 30 years and pay attention to detail. As we opened our room, we were very impressed once again with how clean the room was and how nice the room was. To sum up this, my wife has put this on her list as her top favorite thus far and we have visited over 12 times. Thank you so much for making my wife’s 58th birthday. We had a wonderful experience

Great customer service. Rick was friendly, funny and helpful. Had a good sleep on the beds. Evening social hour, snacks,& refreshments were nice. Breakfast quiche was delicious! Very nice breakfast served,& view of water, awesome! I have two suggestions that would make my rating a 5.  The floors in our room were dirty enough to make my sisters new, clean, white socks black.  The tv remote fell behind the dresser/ refrigerator console. When I slid it away from the wall to retrieve the remote, it was pretty dirty back there. Shower may have been clean, but maybe due to the brown grout, appeared dirty.  We were questioning the cleanliness, after seeing my sister’s socks,& chose not to use the shower .😬 As a suggestion, putting some type of reflective tape, paint or lighting at the different step elevations . ( my 83 yr old brother in law missed the step, leading to our parked car, and fell, getting pretty banged up). Overall, despite the negative observations,  we enjoyed our stay, the location,& would stay here again.

We enjoyed a balcony room and a lovely buffet breakfast each morning . The pool was good and had plenty of sunbeds . It was a relaxing week and we drove to St Augustine or the shopping malls or the lovely beaches nearby . Our favorite was Hammock park beach . A football team and their parents arrived on the Friday night and unfortunately they were allowed to run riot and up and down in the glass window lifts . They were very noisy and most guests were complaining . This spoiled our stay towards the end . Also the breakfast buffet was not available every morning and we ordered from a menu which wasn’t extensive in choice . The hotel is due a refurbishment as rooms are dated .

Our hotel room was very clean, and spacious. we arrived early and were let in right away, without any hesitation. The bed was comfortable (a little on the hard side, but not too hard). Our room might have been recently remodeled as it was spotless. The breakfast was sufficient, eggs, sausage, waffle maker, yogurt, cereals, breads, bagels and muffins and whole fruit, plus good coffee. All workers were very friendly. We didn't use the pool or spa, but it looked clean.Great location with easy access to beach and plenty of restaurants walkable.

First of all, I have no complaints about the hotel's interior facilities. The only thing that made me angry was the front desk staff who checked me in. He was a middle-aged white man. When I checked in, I noticed that the final payment amount was different from what the third-party platform had originally quoted. I asked him if there had been a mistake and mentioned the amount I should pay (my tone was polite and not offensive at all). Suddenly, his attitude changed, and he said, ”I don't care. You have to pay the amount shown in our hotel system. If you're not ready to pay, then step aside—there are other guests waiting. Don't argue with me.,take it up with the third-party platform.” His attitude was extremely rude, and I became anxious. After going back and forth for few minutes, I suggested paying first and asked if I could pay in cash. He refused, saying I had to pay by card. I became even more frustrated but eventually compromised and paid by card. Then he started being difficult again, claiming there was a problem with the computer and that even the final payment couldn't be processed at the moment, so he couldn't check me in. I was very hungry at the time and just wanted to check in quickly, drop off my luggage, and go eat. His stalling felt intentional, as if he was deliberately delaying my check-in. By then, 20 minutes had passed since I arrived at the hotel. I had no choice but to leave my luggage in the lobby, eat first, and then return to check in. An hour later, I came back to the front desk, but no one was there to assist me. I noticed him resting in a small room next to the desk and called him out. When it was time to pay, I asked again if I could pay in cash, and this time, he actually allowed it (absurd). I asked him to provide a receipt for the final payment so I could inquire with the third-party platform about the discrepancy in the amount. He became very impatient and told me he couldn't give me a receipt of what I paid, only allowing me to take a photo of a piece of paper that didn't even specify what the charge was for. I was really speechless—this was the worst front desk service I had ever experienced. The next day, the front desk staff was a Mexican boy, and his attitude was completely different. I guess I was just unlucky.

The hanging rack for clothes was above the refrigerator and not user friendly for adult clothing, more like small kids  clothes. very ridiculous.  I had spilled some water on the floor and wiped it up...the floor was filthy. Not muchWater pressure in the bathroom sink. Shower was good. Room is nice size. When I called 2 different times about the pool if it was indoor or out,  they said indoor...REALLY! It is an outdoor pool, and you can see it from the office window. Hotel is WAY over priced! They did accommodate us and put us on the 1st floor as there are no elevators. Yes we were there from Dec. 20-22 and booked months inadvance. will never go there again.

We hadden een koninginkamer achter het gebouw, dus het was relatief stil. Niet een grote kamer, maar spannend genoeg voor mijn man en ik. De kamers zijn gerenoveerd om een oud motel te updaten en ze hebben een goed werk met het thema van de roze tropische flamingo om te lopen in die retro esthetische. De kamer ruikt een beetje moe, maar toen we aankwamen waren de bladeren stom. Het was niet zeker dat het een hoge vochtigheid veroorzaakte, maar we hebben contact opgenomen met het ondersteuningspersoneel en ze hebben het snel opgelost, omdat het huishoudelijk personeel nieuwe bladeren heeft gebracht. Er is ook een ontvlammingsmiddel in de kamer, dus het lijkt erop iets dat ze aan de orde zijn. Hij was ook opgewonden over de koffiemachine in de woonkamer, zoals andere recensies hadden gemerkt voor een snelle kop fatsoenlijke koffie op de weg. Ik was tevreden met de frisse espresso, maar mijn man was een beetje teleurgesteld dat hun machine de melkop basis dranken niet goed maakte (waarschijnlijk uit melk voor de dagen we daar waren?) En moesten in plaats daarvan kunstmatige melk/cremeer gebruiken. Alles en alle een 4/5 sterren blijven.

First I am going to star saying that I feel sad I am going back home today. The hospitality of the hotel and the service was above and beyond fantastic. The staff was sooo nice and efficient staring from management to the breakfast guy always with a smile . The entire team was great . Hotel’s location is perfect , you can walk to the old city and is safe at night. Rooms were clean and everyday housekeeping service with new towels and soap . I recommend this hotel 100% no doubts every time I come back to st Augustine I will make my home Hotel las Villas 1565. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

The room provided wasn't 100% ready on our arrival the rooms advertised refrigerator was pulled out from its location with the door left opensitting on top of a towel collecting water that had been leaking for some time. Mint. Did respond quickly to the matter by cleaning up the watery mess and getting the refrigerated back into place. The refrigerator was plugged back in but eventually started to leak during the past 3 days of stay. The room did feel damp as there may have been high humidity present.
