Positief - Goede ligging : Gare du Nord (thalys) op 10 minuten en Gare de l’est (metro) op 5 minuten - Rustig gelegen - Uitgebreid ontbijt - Aangename ontbijtruimte - Koffie en thee faciliteiten op kamer - Leeslampjes aan het bed - Goede hand- en regendouche Negatief - Tapijt in gangen en kamer : niet hygiënisch - Gangen (bv trap naar ontbijtruimte) worden niet gekuist - In de badkamer zijn geen haken voor handdoeken aanwezig : dus geen plaats om kleren te leggen - Te warm in de ontbijtruimte - Geen drankenautomaat aanwezig in hal Conclusie : hoge verblijfprijs voor dit 3 sterren hotel

Weggestopt in een klein straatje tussen Gare du Nord en Gare de L'Est. Qua uitstraling niet echt uitnodigend. Kleine kamer met gerieflijke badkamer. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Helaas hing het gordijn los op de kamer, 2x gemeld aan de receptie maar geen actie ondernomen door het hotel om dit te verhelpen. Ontbijt ruim voldoende in een mooi kader.

Good location near Gare de l'est. Lift was out of order (fine with us, maybe less so with elderly/disabled people or those with lots of luggage). Rooms and bathroom were clean but for sure on the smaller side (sort of to be expected in Paris). Check in-/out process was smooth. Ongoing construction in the block made for some disturbing noise - yet the hotel is not to be blamed for this.

I know that hotel rooms in Paris are small, but this was a very small room, still at a high cost. The only table was a small round table, there was one chair, but it barely fit, I ended up sitting at the end of my bed to do work on the table. A positive surprise was that the breakfast was served in the basement with old arches. The breakfast was good except that the coffee machine didn't work. Location was close to Gare de l'est and also walking distance from Gare du Nord.

My room overlooking the park, was extremely noisy. There is a building site next door and building starts at 7am. And there’s jackhammers during the day. Also, on the road below, was a metal plate, which banged every time a car drove over it (24/7). They should not be charging full price for the rooms affected by this noise. I took it up with the female receptionist who told me there’s construction all around Paris. Her attempt to deflect missed me. When I insisted, she said she would email her manager and send me a reply. 2 weeks later, no response. Clearly no action was taken. They should not be charging full price for these rooms. Very poor customer concern/service by this hotel.

The hotel is centrally located near the metro opposite mc donalds. The front desk staff was extremely helpful with bookings and guidance. Rooms very neat and clean with a kettle. The breakfast gad very food options for vegetarian, breads , Mayo, cucumber etc made for good veg options. Highly recommended

This hotel is not in a great area, but very convenient for both Gare du Nord and Gare de L'Est. The cafes and restaurants nearby are generally very noisy and crowded, but there are plenty of others not too far away. The hotel is good -- clean and very good staff. Breakfast is fairly basic but breakfast staff are very helpful. There is a good laundromat about half-way up to Gare du Nord along Rue de Faubourg Saint-Denis, only about 7-minute walk away.

Awful hotel. Noisy, small, dirty building. Room was a prison cell. No space to move around, anywhere, neither around the bed nor in the bathroom without hitting the walls. A coffin of a shower unable to move around or bent. The smallest and cheapest matrasses we ever had to sleep on. With construction works right outside our window there was no relaxation possible. Banging and drilling from 6am. The worst Mercure hotel we stayed in. What a dump.
