Antiguo Brondo Selfcheck-in Smart Rooms

DE kamer erg mooi maar enigszins verwaarloosd, de vloer verhoogd. Het ergste van alles is dat de t****e dag dat we geen warm water meer hadden en het midden in de winter was. Er is geen receptie, dus er is niet direct een oplossing.

Zeer kleine kamer, je moet **** aan het voeteneinde van het bed optillen. In de kamer een zeer onaangename geur van vuil water. perfecte locatie.

Het gebouw en de kamer waren ok, maar de badkamer is niet gescheiden. Er is alleen glas tussen hem en de slaapkamer en daarboven is het glas open. Er is geen privacy en dit is slecht voor de luchtvochtigheid. Het bed was lager dan gemiddeld en de kussens waren slecht.

I was apprehensive about the self check in procedure, and getting in using a door code, after reading some negative reviews, but I need not have worried - it was perfectly straightforward. Once inside our room I found it to be a good size, and spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. The location is great. We got the bus from the airport to Plaza D’Espagne and from there the hotel was a 15 minute walk. It is also just around the corner from a lovely avenue lined with trees, bars (although somewhat pricey) & restaurants. Plenty of other, less expensive, places to eat and drink down the little side streets across the other side of the road. The cathedral, palace and waterfront are also at the bottom of that avenue. All in all a great place to stay as a base for a short break when exploring the area is the main aim. I think if I was staying for a week or more, particularly in the summer months, I’d want a few more on site amenities like a restaurant, bar and pool area for relaxing.

We had an awful nights sleep due to the very loud noises of running water in the pipes throughout the night. We stayed in room 101. We could hear other people arriving and going throughout the night and it sounded like they were in the room with us as there is a big gap below the door and you can hear everything. Also you can hear all the people on the street below - windows and doors need improving massively. Cleanliness basic - lots of stains and marks over the walls, needs a big deep clean. We wouldn’t book a self check in properly again as we found the machine very stressful. We did however like the style of the building, it was quirky and the location is fab. Just a shame we had zero sleep :(

If you want 4* with a pool pay 5 X or stay outside Palma and get the bus in....otherwise it's right in the heart of Palma old town; walk outside to a beautiful tree lined avenue with great bars and restaurants and at the end of the avenue is the edge of the Cathedral with stunning gardens. What more could you want? Check-in is easy with instructions by whatsapp. Rooms are on the small side but clean, functional and comfortable. Absolutely ideal for one or two nights in Palma. No noise issues unless you retire at 9pm; by 11 on Saturday night it was quiet. Bus stop outside to take you to Place De Espania for connections. I want quality accommodation when I travel and I can't fault Antiguo Brondo for what they provide at this price point. Management have clearly taken previous negative feedback onboard, even if it was unwarranted. Don't listen to the yaps.....I will return no doubt.

Great hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Central location with easy access to busses and walking round the city. Left luggage facility was very useful.

Loved it but the self check-in was stressful luckily the 4 of us got there with help from staff who came to our aid. Unique property. Great location. The only one other observation we could not get a reply during our stay when we rang both numbers. So not sure 24 help is accurate. Also no instructions on how to use the safe.

Easy self check in, great location and clean and tidy rooms. Perfect for a couple nights in Palma.
