The pool and hot tub are fantastic and the restaurant/bar have a good vibe. The view of the mountains is dramatic. The room is basic motel at best, but a good size. Overall the Caliente is a good value for Palm Springs. You can get better if you spend more elsewhere, but I say save your money for great dining and excursions.

Love the place and location, walls are a little thin you can hear your neighbors. Needs thicker blanket on the beds. Staff friendly and very helpful

Our check-in was. They were able to switch us from a second floor room to the ground floor with no problem. The room was ready. However, we did have a backed up toilet. A staff member got right on it. Thanks.

If you stay here please check the room before checking in. Our room had an offensive smell along with a dark, dingy room. Our son’s room was acceptable to him and his family. There is no room service and the pool closes than other hotels.

If you choose this hotel be sure to check the room before checking in. Ours was stinky, dark, and dirty. We did get a refund but it was hard because we had checked in. My son’s family was happy with their room.

The rooms have lost their lustre, need a refurbishment. Wallpaper peeling, broken cabinets. Great location

This hotel is in desperate need of an update. We were disappointed to find our room had peeling paint coming off the walls, and everything looked old and grungy. The sheets on the bed were clean but that was about the only positive we could find. The property has so much potential with its vintage Palm Springs vibe, and we loved the Reef bar and restaurant, but we will not be staying here again unless it gets a serious makeover.

Clean, safe and convenient motel, very close to DT Palm Springs and all the places I wanted to go on my weekend vacation in the desert.
