Our 2nd visit to Marriott, we stayed here for 3 nights and three things we don’t like:
1. During Day 1 checked in we were given discounted voucher for buffet dinner, next day when we want to know more it at the floor 19 restaurant, this male staff (dressed like a restaurant manager) named “水月” just ignore our appearance and all the time focus at PC, pretending never see us until I speak Japanese, this is a very rude approaching; we kind of feel the racist if you are non Japanese. He doesn’t even feel sorry when let customers waiting for him. When we asking him some questions about the buffet he showed us a blur face. I wonder how he can make this position.
2. When we check out, a young male staff just read out my name from their system when we returning the room card without any greeting or using Mr/Ms, asking about the feedback of stay, no smiling, in a very cold manner. A vast different when we check out at Kyoto
3. Our stay come with daily breakfast, the breakfast is same for 3 days…and food topping up is very slow.
Overall, as a 5 star hotel, it’s not a pleasant stay, room carpet is out dated too.
By the way, I’m a Bonvoy member. I think Marriot should series review this branch service standard and enhance the staff training.
