Location is a bit far from Goreme town, around 15 mins away. Taxi drivers will charge an exorbitant price just to go here from Goreme bus station. I was out at Goreme town at night and wanted to book a cab but the drivers didn’t want to send us there due to the road conditions. I stayed here for 2 nights and decided to move out to one of the hotel in Goreme town on the 3rd night because of the location. Otherwise, breakfast was awesome prepared by the very hospitable lady, Necla. She treated us very well like a mom. Don’t expect any marts nearby as this area is dead. Consider staying in Goreme town to watch the balloons from your hotels terrace. There are many nice and cheaper hotels in Goreme town. Honestly, I wouldn’t return here again because of the location.

İşlet** deki Necla hanım anlatıldığı gibi çok güleryüzlü ve ilgili . Kaldığımız oda içi rutubet kokusu vardı . Fiyat performans oteli . 14 Ekim tarihinde 3 kişilik oda 1 günlük konaklama bedeli 1.666 tl idi .

Çok sakin ve güzel bir ortamı var biz 4 aylık bebeğimizle gittiğimiz için sakinlik önemliydi işle**ecisi ve müdiresi çok ilgili ve güler yüzlü biz memnun kaldık hepsine teşekkür ediyoruz

Wij waren enorm tevreden over de receptioniste en de eigenaar van het hotel. Wij voelden ons heel erg thuis en konden met al onze vragen bij ze terecht. Enige minpunt was dat het hotel echt heel erg afgelegen is en er vrij weinig te doen is in de buurt van het hotel.

The Ella Cave Hotel provided a warm and friendly vibe, and a comfortable place from which to explore Goreme and Cappadocia. We were first-time visitors to Turkey and loved the authentic experience of staying in a hotel carved out of rock. The owner, Ruth Lockwood and her cheerful team of Neesha and Ahmet happily organised tours and transit; and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Ruth’s other business, Tribal Collections was also well worth a visit after we read about it the Lonely Planet guide to Turkey. Here we found a range of interesting rugs produced by local women. Ruth’s knowledge of rug-making and what to look for is encyclopaedic.

A classic Capaddocia cave hotel - exactly what you want when visiting this extraordinary area. It is quiet and relaxing, but only a short and cheap taxi ride from the Goreme mayhem. The decor is stylish yet cosy. And, yes, it is very clean. Our hostess Ruth was lovely and full of great ideas on what to do in the area, and Necla's breakfasts were a treat. Staying here was a highlight of our Turkey trip.

Please make sure not to use the local taxi number provided at the reception. The Taxi driver usually takes longer routes to charge more. Horse riding services were decently priced. Others not so much. During my trip I stayed in another 4 star hotel in Goreme and they provided more reliable services

I stayed in suite 99 in the units across the little road from breakfast and reception. If you are ok with steps up a few terraces the flat is gorgeous. Impeccably decorated with a collection of Ottoman antiques, incredible carpets and gorgeous textile artwork. The are multiple day beds to curl up to read a book, large windows in both rooms and a wonderful large bed with fresh linens and excellent pillows. An ensuite tea service and an upstairs private terrace and bathroom with large shower and plenty of clean towels. Besides the beauty of the rooms the great joy is the view into the central village of old Ortahisar. Epic. I’m happy I could easily negotiate the metal spiral staircase that leads to the upstairs bathroom and private terrace. If a person has mobility issues I know there are more suitable and equally beautiful suites on the property.
