Excellent if you are on a budget better than Rosin Inn which is brits tend to go the room worked out at £45 per night for a family of four plus you get free buffet breakfast food nice hot and cold food and hot and cold drinks fruit and yogurts scrambled eggs bacon everything is their no parking fee we didn’t pay a resort fee either staff lovlely twice my son put an egg in the microwave and it exploded they never complained room spotless free shuttles to both Disney and universal

Much better than 1st time. Hotel is under remodel.. They just finished their pool and it looks great.. They're working on the roof. The rooms still need some work. But they are coming a long way. Price is right. There is a deposit which is I believe $50. You do get it back and roughly about 7 to 10 days depending on your credit card. It is not pet friendly unless you have a service dog. Hotel is right before the Orlando health Doctor Phillips. Rooms come with a microwave and a Mini refrigerator. They do serve a breakfast that you must eat out front. You cannot take it back to your room. All their handicapped rooms or on the 1st floor.

Double trees always a nice hotel to stay at and the free cookies and check in or whenever you ask are always a delightful treat. For this day we found that there was really nothing around the hotel itself as far as other restaurant choices although it’s very close to universal and they have a shuttle bus which was convenient, we ended up moving to a location nearby that had many more restaurants around, the rooms were clean the pool areas. Nice the restaurants food was good although a little pricey if you would like to use the pool areas, I think this could be an excellent choice.

Very good budget hotel in the lake Buena vista area. Room with 2 doubles beds, very comfy mattress and huge TV. Mini fridge and microwave also available very handy for drinks and snacks. Room was very clean and housekeeping came every day to make up the beds,clean and change towels. If you prefer a quieter rooms ask for one facing the parking lot and building 3 or 4. Shop,bar and breakfast buffet on site. This was my second stay here and I would return again.

I spent two nights at the DoubleTree in Downtown Orlando as a result of being mandatorily evacuated due to Hurricane Ian. Most of the other people staying in the hotel were in a similar situation. I felt that the hotel did a good job of dealing with the huge surge of stressed out people. The DoubleTree wasn't our first choice, but when we decided to evacuate to Orlando, many other gulf coast Floridians were making similar choices, and we got turfed to this DoubleTree with a different Hilton property. The location is pretty good. It's close to downtown, close to the Lake Ivanhoe area, and close to I4. There were a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. The parking isn't exactly connected to the hotel, which wouldn't be a problem in non-hurricane situations. There was no valet when we arrived. There were staff available to help with bags, etc., although the person was helping the car in front of me, so I unloaded everything myself (which was fine). My parents were able to check in early for both rooms, and from what I observed in the lobby, they had enough staff that no one was waiting for too long for check in. They were definitely well stocked with bottled water and cookies for everyone checking in. We had two connecting rooms so that my parents could help with the kids and we could pool resources. The rooms have refrigerators which are pretty spacious. The rooms were a bit dated, but the beds were reasonably comfortable (although the pillows could have been more supportive), there was a practical set up of seating, and everything looked clean. Because the hotel was booked to full and because the Hurricane was going to go through Orlando as a tropical storm, there was no standard housekeeping available, but you could request new sheets/towels/amenities to be delivered to your room. I spoke with a bartender, and the Hilton had several employees who stayed in the hotel for the duration of the storm warning and storm to make sure that things were running for guests. I very much appreciated that they kept the kitchen (albeit with a very limited menu) and bar (full bar still available) running and that maintenance was available the whole time. While I didn't love the limited menu at the restaurant, at least we had the option of hot food! The hotel is on the same power grid at the local hospital, so we never lost power. The cable flickered a bit once the winds became strong. The window in my parents' room did spring a leak during the storm, but thankfully the amount of water that came in was manageable with a couple towels. The downstairs cafe and lobby became very waterlogged during the storm. But from a safety perspective, we all came through the storm. And when we elected to check out after two nights instead of the three we booked, the hotel graciously didn't charge us for the final night.

I did a last minute booking for the Tru by Hilton Orlando Convention Center, as I had to change some of my holiday plans while Hurricane Ian passed through the area. I stayed at a few hotels this trip, and I honestly can't think of anywhere I would've felt safer or more secure while the bad weather passed by. Tru will definitely be one of the first hotels I consider for future trips. I arrived at the hotel very early, as I wanted to avoid going out in the afternoon once the weather worsened. They checked me in and let me go to the room straight away. The welcome I received was so warm and friendly, I immediately felt at home and knew I was in good hands. Lots of Americans were also in the hotel, many of them with their pets, so it really felt like a home from home and a place of safety during the storm. The rooms are quite compact, but they're so well designed you really don't feel there's a lack of space. The hotel and rooms are all very modern and comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom has a great, large shower cubicle and the toiletries are all good quality. The bed was comfortable and I got a pretty good sleep, only woken up by the noise of the wind at the height of the storm. I thought the breakfast selection was good, and they provide coffee in the lobby area all day if you want it. For breakfast there was a nice selection of cereals, hot and cold items. Considering the hotel was full or nearly full, everything seemed to be flowing well and didn't feel too overcrowded. They turned off the lifts on the evening of the storm, handed out torches in case we lost power, and made several announcements of the emergency tannoy system. Everything about this hotel felt well thought out and extremely safe - I still can't get over how well they handled the situation.

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? Stayed here again and really like the top floor of this hotel. We booked 6 months in advance direct with the hotel for 15 nights and got a long term room rate. we have stayed before as i said so no surprises expected. Day of arrival: Arrived late and expected top floor with city view King Bed. (Which we booked and paid for). We would have liked park view but we where turned down a few times by phone before we arrived. We where told once we gave the name that we had a hi room not top floor as they where ”first come first served”. i said we had booked a top floor king room to which the lady behind the counter said there was a ”first come first served” policy again! My wife was not happy as we had booked and paid for this direct and had an email to prove the fact and was about to lose all reason, Then a lady called Jess stepped in to sort the situation out. Jess did a bit of running around the building and came back with the room we requested, if management are reading this Jess sorted this out very quickly and very professionally give the Lady a raise. The room 2110 had great views of some of the parks in the distance, disney / epcot / volcano bay, fire works every night at 10pm. Also a great place to watch the evening storms come in. Fridge and microwave, water comp, tea and coffee faculties also. Very clean, i credit this to our room service Lady Cathrine who was very attentive to our needs over the two weeks. Again this lady deserves a raise. The pool bar Its fine, they dont bother pouring your drink if you buy for instance a coors light, it comes in a can and unless you as for it you usually dont get a plastic cup with it. (Strange) no table service in the pool area. there food consists of Pizza (no bad to be fair) nachos, turkey sub etc, staff seem more interested in watching the NFL on the 3 screens than attending customers, not a great place to relax after a long day in the parks. needs a little push. Very clean area. Small bug bears: One chair in the room and one office chair, if you want to relax in the room you have to use these two seats, i did ask the front desk early on for a second chair for the room but they said there is only one chair per room. funny like i said we have stayed here previously and the rooms did come with two chairs and a coffee table. the man behind reception said he would look into getting another one but never bothered to come back to us. some of the staff behind the reception are pure cannon fodder and some do excel at the job they have been given. The area Universal has opened up there two hotels across the road which is a welcome sight after they shut down wet and wild a few years ago. The area between kirkman and the Mcdonalds further down the road has really suffered with covid, lot of places shut down and others wanting for staff. the usual food and shops available locally, Red lobster, KFC, applebees, dennys, subway, and other junk food out lets to destroy your digestive sys

When we first tried to check in there was a problem with the system as several of my credit cards didn't work even though they were all good. This was for a deposit. The woman who checked us in was very nice. One card finally worked. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The next morning and every morning the breakfast was very good. We were staying here to go to Daytona International Speedway two days in a row. I found that although it is the Orlando area it is still cheaper than staying closer to Daytona. It is only an hour drive to Daytona from there. The first night we returned to the hotel about 3:30AM and found that our room door was not closed all the way and therefore unlocked. I called the desk right away to report it. Luckily nothing was missing. The next day we went back to the track (Saturday). Upon returning that night just before midnight we found our key cards didn't work. We went around to the front door. The inside door was locked, I couldn't see anyone at the desk and there was no sign directing you to the intercom on wall which I didn't notice. I tapped on door. My wife noticed the intercom after that. The woman at the desk spoke to us through it. I told her our key cards were not working. She asked if we were staying there after that. I said yes. She let us in and blamed us for the card problem because my wife put her phone on the desk saying we put the cards by our phones. I pointed out that my card was in my wallet and no where near my phone. She gave us new cards. She was very rude in my opinion. When we got to our room it was not made up with no towels replaced. We checked out the next morning.
