Leaking Well, Dunhampton

I ordered a take away and was confused when someone picked up the phone and said hello! I had to ask if it was the Leaking Well the gentleman on the phone was pleasant but when I asked how long it would take and how much I would pay, he answered you get 10% off when you come in and it would take half an hour. That was a bit long but I thought they must be busy and I had to go back to my menu and work out how much money it cost and take away 10%. May I add that at Spice Fusion they work it out for you and the max I’ve had to wait in the week is 15 mins, especially as we were collecting the food. The food got picked up and when we were home the salad with the main of chicken tikka was missing and the popadoms and sauces we had paid for. I called them and the gentleman again was very lovely and said he would deliver the missing food which was great. But 1 and a half hours later a man came and just gave me the popadoms and sauce, but still no salad for the tikka main. When I got to try the meat, it was over garnished with coriander and uneatable and the chicken was so dry and covered in coriander. I called again and told them the problem and I just had an excuse next time I order, but frankly we won’t be ordering from there again. Can I just say the gentlemen on the phone were very professional and rectified everything verbally, it’s just a shame they could communicate to each other exactly what was wrong and actually rectify it. May I add the other dishes that were brought the people said it was very nice and they enjoyed their food. The only criticism was the chicken tikka was runny and there was a lot of food colouring used, ie in the pilla rice and the mint yogurt was almost alumnus green from all the green food colouring in it.

Excellent food and service provided. We have been a number of times and the food is excellent, providing a mix of south Asian food. Nepalese fusion and India cuisine. Owner has been there every time and he and his team have been very good. All served with nice HPA.

We stayed here for a stop-off from Yorkshire to Devon and it was everything we needed. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We arrived in time for dinner and had one of the best curries we have ever had. Breakfast was also delicious. We couldn't fault anything and will definitely look to stay again.

Great little place to stay for a great price for a few days when working in the area. Room clean and fresh. The Indian food is one of the best I have ever had and very good price. The breakfast is good ,( consider fresh milk for a cup of tea in morning) friendly staff. I will be back . Thank you.

Love this place it’s as good as chefs Kicthen Service was great staff very friendly, delicious food , look forward to the next time guys which is for Mother’s Day, doing English Sunday as the Sunday roast is lovey.. The meal deal is fantastic value for money,

30 minutes just for some popadaums would t mind however wasn’t busy. Service was awful wrong food bought out mains coming out with starters and food we hadn’t even ordered, then owners and waiters arguing in the kitchen about the orders!! Even had to come back out to re order one persons order as chef had lost it. Wrong drinks bought out when hadn’t ordered bearing in mind we are the only table in the restaurant!! Just shocking can’t recommend at all due to all these issues Food was good when right food was finally bought out to us

Came here with the wife for a 2 night stay. The rooms were very clean and fresh, staff on check in were extremely friendly and catered to our every need, we came down for food on the thursday night to find out it was a steak special (half price), the red wine on offer was exemplary and the food was beautifully cooked and both me and my wife had a lovely meal. When we came down for breakfast in the morning we had asked the staff for more toletries for the rooms and they happily abliged. We had breakfast both days as it was fantastic and a MEGA way to set your day. Over all a great experience and will definately return.

A friend booked a table for breakfast today - Monday and when we arrived we discovered The Leaking Well was now closed on a Monday. The door opened and a member of staff who we later learned was Emma, greeted us with such a warm welcome and explained as we had booked some time ago, of course they would honour the booking and two members of staff had come in specially to serve us. This was after a very busy Mothering Sunday the day before! We were offered tea on arrival, ordered a full English Breakfast for 3 adults and beans on toast for our 2 year old Grandson. The food arrived freshly cooked, hot and truly delicious. Emma was a real delight. She was so friendly, very attentive and could not do enough for us. She made a real fuss of our Grandson, evening naming the table bill after him! This really was a superb experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Leaking Well and the Management should be very proud of their professional staff and of course, a very special thank you to Emma for making our visit such a lovely experience.

Went for Friday night evening meal. We all had a selection of indian meals.All of which were A1, bloody delicious. The staff were lovely and made it a great evening. Will defo go again. Also looking forward to trying their Full English breakfast sooner than later. 5 star for sure.
