Absolutely perfect stay & the staff were perfect aswell, could not fault

Hotel has some beautiful common areas including a lovely bar with open fireplace that crated a lovely and sociable a**osphere. The snooker room is a bonus also but was always occupied during our stay.
The room was disappointing however. The bed was really small and very uncomfortable and the room far smaller than it looks on the pictures. There was a lovely selection of teas and coffees but the mugs weren't clean and dusty both inside and out.
The fire alarm went off at 2.30am during our stay also - obviously not the hotel's fault though so no blame cast there.

Fantastic friendly service. Warmly welcomed and very accommodating and supportive of our special requirements for our 10wk old puppy. Excellent food and relaxing environment. Highly recommend.

This is a really lovely property with amazing warm staff. The bed was very comfy and the communal areas of the hotel are wondeful.

Hotel had a but if creepy feel to me which im sure will suit a lot if people but not me. Felt like i was living in a cluedo board at times.
Shower was excellent and hot.
Food was great.
Staff were very friendly

A magical time away with mum & sister. We spent a big part of the trip in the drawing room planning my sisters wedding… we were well looked after by the bar man! All snug and cosy. There was a storm the first night which made the hotel very a**ospheric shall we say… and there was certainly a ‘presence’ felt in our room in the oldest part of the hotel. Highly recommended if you want somewhere nestled away with great staff and cosy a**osphere! We didn’t try the spa but hear it’s good… breakfast was delicious.

Fried breakfast was tired, some having been pre-cooked and over cooked. Butter was from Gloucestershire! Hardly supporting local dairy producers!
