Travelodge - Northampton Upton Way

Room was quite stinky. They need to improve on air quality of the room. Water pressure in bathroom was very low, it was so difficult to shower.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we came down to watch Northampton Saints play. We chose this hotel as it was in walking distance to the stadium and lots of amenities just a 5 minute walk away across the main road. Our room backed onto some houses and their gardens so we had to keep our curtains closed for privacy. No aircon but the fan supplied was sufficient. Room clean and tidy. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. We’ll be back to stay again.

Room is as you expect for a short stay, clean and comfortable. The shower however is a different matter. My wife who has arthritis, slipped twice while in it and I while l was in the shower, I also slipped. The shower obviously needs the non slip coating redone. Apart from that a decent stay. We stayed in room 19

Absolutely fantastic basic hotel so quiet the staff especially Will went above and beyond to help me as I'm disabled. This travelodge is far better than the one on talavera way in my opinion,so quiet even though next door to not only a petrol station but a main road as well where lorries come bounding past.

We stayed here for 1 night recently to attend a family member’s birthday celebration nearby - and will never be back. Upon arrival we noticed the bed was unmade but new sheets were in the room so we didn’t mind too much and figured we’d just make it ourselves. We then saw that the bed had a clear dip, but thought it was perhaps just an old mattress. Upon closer inspection, the actual bed frame / leg was broken and unsafe to sleep on - this was why the bed hadn’t been made back up. The mattress protector was also badly stained, but apparently not yet gross enough for Travelodge to replace it?! We informed reception, who told us they were aware that there was a broken bed in one of the rooms but they had “overbooked” that night so couldn’t offer any alternative. As the bed wasn’t safe to sleep on, we had to move the mattress and sleep on the floor. When you book a hotel room, you generally book it for a bed to sleep in. Travelodge may be “budget”, but for £102 per night the least you’d expect is an actual bed to sleep in! We’ve contacted customer services and are, funnily enough, still waiting for a resolution. Imagine being a hotel and having your paying customers sleep on the floor…

Have booked a room for my parents who are coming to stay with their dog and have access needs. Will went above and beyond for us and made sure that they've got EXACTLY what they need. So very helpful Will is a credit to Travelodge

I had a wonderful stay. I was welcomed by the staff with a smile who were very pleasant and lovely. I had no problems. The room was really spacious, Clean and the bed was so comfy. It was easy to get to places with everything around the hotel. I would recommend the Travelodge. I wouldn’t stay any where else apart from here. I will be going back very soon as always. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I was booked in for a works stay. I arrived at 3.45 pm and the chap on reception was very polite but I had to ask about my breakfast that was paid for . Room 101 was two small single beds and a fan was blowing when I arrived so it was lovely and cool. There are lots of restaurants near by I ate at Bella Italia a ten minute walk on the retail park opposite. Along with lots of restaurants and a pub and cinema. I probably wouldn't recommend the walk alone for a female at night as a closed down tgi Fridays looks like some shady people about. I had a lovely walk around a lake in the afternoon which was lovely. The room was quiet noisy but thankfully not at night. The petrol station is handy with all the m and s goodies. I would definitely recommend and return.

I arrived at the travel lodge at 23.15 where I had to wait for 15 minutes for a staff member to come and answer the door and check me in!! Only to be told I should have called a number which I didnt have! To reach her to open the door and that she was the only person on shift! Ridiculous!! Maybe the number should be visable on the door or in view of the door so that i could call!! Obviously its not her fault if shes the only person on shift but maybe there should be someone at check in to make sure that when people arrive theyre not stood outside calling the bell on and off constantly until someone answers. Very disappointed as I use travel lodge a lot
