Hotel Tjarna

The room was fine, although I would personally have preferred a desk to the strange little "sitting room". The room and hallways were very clean., and the bed was excellent. The breakfast room was neither. Oddly enough for an airport hotel, breakfast is only served between 8 and 10. When I got there about 9, nothing had been cleared and some items were not available anymore. No maid in sight the whole time. The selection was rather poor, anyway. Next time I'll choose another hotel and spend a little more money for a more convenient room and a decent breakfast - with service.

We picked the hotel as we had a early flight out of Kevlavik the next day. For that purpose, the hotel is very well located, some 8 km to the airport. I did not like that they did not offer to take the breakfast with you, as probably many guests have the problem that the buffet is not yet open when they have to leave.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Tjerna Keflavik Airport for 8 hours as we had an early flight from KEF. We took the airport bus (cheaper than taxi) and the bus will stop on signal at Njardvik. From there its only 10 min walk to the hotel. The check in is effective and the guy behind the counter is very friendly. The room is clean, looks new and spacious. Conveniently, in the same building its a grill where you can get junk for dinner and a shop, Krambudin. Do not judge Krambudin by your first impression.. it looks small, but is very nice! We checked out during the night so we didnt try breakfast. We called a local taxi company.. a 12-15 min ride and we payd around 4500 ISK. If you have an early flight we can recommend this airport hotel. Cheaper than down town Reykjavik also.

A very clean, quiet hotel. The room was large and the bed comfortable, plenty of parking for guests. Breakfast was communal, with a selection of cold meats, cheese, yogurts, cereals, bread, fruit and instant coffee. The only complaint is that the curtains do not keep out the midnight sun, so light sleepers might have a problem.

Chambre spacieuse avec beaucoup de rangements. Supermarché à côté de la résidence.le petit déjeuner est ridicule dans une salle commune comme dans une auberge avec une moquette plus que dégoûtante. je n’appelle pas ça un hôtel pour le prix. Attention pas d’ascenseur.

Struttura nuova, camera grande e confortevole. Posizone ottima per la blue lagoon, l'aeroporto e Reykjavík. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Unico neo la colazione che dovrebbe essere più organizzata e meno fai da te con prodotti da supermercato. Per una sosta veloce comunque é un hotel perfetto. Comodo il Supermarket sottostante.

GIUDIZIO – silenzioso si paga con carta al check-in ed è comodo per la prima notte, nulla più di questo, colazione compresa discreta (pane-broche-marmellata e caffè) unica pecca che non accetta contanti ma solo pagamenti tramite carta...

Non spaventatevi nel vedere l'hotel dall'esterno, rimarrete sorpresi invece delle camere pulitissime, ordinate e ben tenute. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo. Hotel molto comodo perchè vicino all'aeroporto e alla riconsegna delle auto a noleggio. Lo consigliamo.
