My favorite New York neighborhood! One of my favorite blocks. My family and I loved our stay. It felt as though we were living in New York City. Shout out to Herman! - just awesome at the front desk! Will be back.

We stayed for 5 nights last week. The hotel was clean but is in need of updating. Rusty door hinges in the bathroom, cracked tile, and chipped bathtub.
The woman at check in was pleasant but the bellhop, older gentleman with mustache, was incredibly rude and out of line. The family checking in before us was from England and not accustomed to tipping. They offered a few dollars after the bellhop rudely requested a tip and then went on to say that he expects at least $10 for taking their bags up to their room. I was shocked.
The hotel is close to Central Park but not much of the other tourist areas.
On our last night our son came running in at 12am after seeing a rat or mouse run by his bed. When I called the front desk their response was asking if I wanted them to come set traps. What?! They did give him another room but only after I asked for one. We were on the 5th floor and it seems unacceptable for a mouse to be in our room. It caused my other 3 children to be woken up and we had to pack and move rooms at 12 in the morning.
We will not be staying at this property on our next trip.

We enjoyed the location and most of the staff were awesome, except a couple who it seemed didn't really want to be there. Beds and furniture not very comfortable and outdated. Everything you need within a short walk and easy to get around. Maintenance was quick to come.. but unfortunately had to call maintenance. Expensive, but was a peak time in NYC. Was fine for this trip but would try my luck somewhere else next time.

Perfect location for our plans. It was very spacious for 6 of us and the kitchen had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
