Love that hotel but it was noisy. Not talking about the interior noise. The street noise is really loud.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Roxy NY. The bar even accommodated a quick 25 person celebration on Saturday afternoon!

Let’s talk about the noise. The hotel has “Live music” every night. The level of noise in your room is horrific. It sounds like the band is playing at the end of your bed. You have a “noise cancelling” control in your room, with a “calming sound effect”, that is the equivalent of being strapped to an aeroplane wing. And it doesn’t do a thing for the noise of the band, so that’s a double joy. You have to pad your room door with towels to stop the sound of the neighbours. And the door slamming - I cant even.
The interior and rooms are outdated. You have one outlet for charging your appliances and you have to rearrange the room furniture to even find or use it. A shower that if you turn on the water comes straight out the door and floods the place.
It was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in at that price range and it was horrifically disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless they are deaf or enjoy their eardrums to bleed.

the hotel reminds me of the old New York mixed with musical stages. the staff and services are very good and professional.
the only issue I noticed is that the location of the rooms and the walkway in each floor perhaps needs a safety net for the sitting are for the safety of the people sitting in the open top restaurant. Dropping objects from each walkway could be dangerous.

A city in itself. Live music is constantly available either in the lobby bar or the jazz club downstairs. Rooms are unusually spacious for NYC, and the architecture is fabulous. Food is great and the general a**osphere is lively and fun. Will return over and over.
