The Cloud One New York-Downtown, by the Motel One Group

The room was a little tight but comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you’re bringing a vehicle use the Battery Park garage their rates were better.

The hotel is in a great section of downtown. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Although the property is nice and the room was very quiet, there was one incident that taints my review. More for the response (or lack) from the property than anything. I had to leave a nearby meeting mid morning to return to my room to retrieve some medication. When I attempted to open my room the key didn’t register. Went to front desk got a new key. Still nothing. Returned to front desk they said engineering will meet me at the room. Went to room and waited. No one came. Back to the front desk. Blank looks and excuses. had already missed too much time from my meeting so I had to run and find a pharmacy and buy over the counter meds in place of my prescription meds. Not a good option but the best I could do. When I returned to the property hours later and stopped by the front desk for the 4th time on the matter they couldn’t verify that the key issue had been resolved and were almost accusatory that I hadn’t even reported it to anyone earlier in the day. They could only say that engineering had received the request. Luckily when I got to my room the door opened. No one ever addressed this with me or apologized for the inconvenience. A dead key reader is understandable. Their response was not. I spoke to at least 4 different people at reception about this. It should have been handled better.

The hotel has no slippers and did not even put bottles of water in the room. The walls are paper thin and the room feels like a bird cage. The rooms are TINY. The bathroom is fine. If you’re a girl and wants to put put on makeup the lighting is terrible for that. Theres a little light in the room and that’s it. The bathroom lighting is terrible too. Even though they have vanity lights in the bathroom it just doesn’t cut it. The street it’s on feels unsafe however the location is fine. The entrance is hidden so it feels weird to go in. The pictures were so misleading and nothing looked like it. There is no bathroom in the lobby, I had to go to the 6th floor for the bathroom. The elevators feel like something a serial killer would have in their house. I stayed 2 nights and the price is so much for nothing.

Our stay was short and sweet! We got to the hotel late at night and left early in the morning, but the bed was like a cloud and the room was very clean!

Prime location! Beautiful hotel with a large lounge on the 6th floor that has cozy corner. We got a premium room with an outstanding view. Everything was very comfortable, clean, and mostly quiet. The noises in the hallway carried into the rooms. The only suggestion I have would be to maybe post quiet hours between 12am-6am.

Loved the service , extremely friendly and understanding staff , stood at an amazing room with gorgeous views . Loved the room we got for the price , only downside is the sub par entrance kinda out of the way , and the tv could’ve been nicer . All in all will definitely be coming back to stay again .

This was a nice pick for a hotel in New York. Great location, near restaurants, shopping, and the 911 Memorial. The room is beautiful, clean, check-in was great. I have nothing negative to say.

Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend. The staff here is amazing and friendly. The room despite being smaller than usual was actually amazingly comfortable and the view was beautiful. And don’t forget the amazing lounge on the 6th floor; comfortable and quiet with a balcony area that you can take photos in and just relax. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back again.
