The Rubenstein Hotel

I had a wonderful stay at the Rubenstein Hotel in New Orleans. The staff was incredibly friendly, and Joiana in particular stood out—she was so helpful and made our experience even better. The room was clean, cozy, and really charming. One of our favorite features was the balcony, which added such a nice touch to our stay. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again!

This place is only about location. The room did not have much - no hairdryer, no coffeemaker, lights were difficult to figure out, no bed light. The staff were not very accommodating. One guy was ignorant, not helpful and all about being on his cell phone with no attention on customers. He came across as rude and as if he did not care at all. Asked questions he seemed annoyed. Not impressed by this place at all - but location is fantastic.

We had a great time at this hotel. Kabrel, the gentleman behind the bar provided great service and we had a blast after coming back from a night on Bourbon St. Unfortunately, we wasn't there during the weekend, and we could tell, as the experience wasn't as fun as the first night.

The staff was pleasant, room had no windows only hole in wall that led to storage room , no soap or washcloths available per housekeeping, coffee put away once bar opened, 56$ to park our car, being an older classic hotel we expected it to be maintained as such ,walls are very thin, we do not recommend this hotel to anyone

We enjoyed the location and the staff. The rooms were clean and fine. However our room faced Canal St. and it was quite loud and very bright all night long. I think other areas of the hotel would be fine. We will definitely make sure we don’t have a front room if we ever stay there again.

The room was clean and comfortable but it was super loud- we heard every little noise in the hallway. There was also a fake window to a hallway and the light from that was kind of annoying all night. I was also freezing as there was no comforter, just sheets and a blanket.

The hotel was fine although there is not in room coffee and more importantly, no window.

Excellent location; rooms themselves were just average and the hall noise was a lot--good thing I can cancel out noise!

The Rubenstein Hotel is in a great location at the corner of Canal Street and St Charles Ave. Located in the Central Business District section of New Orleans. Cross Canal St.and you are on Royal Street in the French Qtr and about 10 minute walk to Bourbon St., 15 minutes to Jackson Square, and 20 minutes to Cafe du monde. Tons of restaurants including Cafe Beignet, Mr. Ed's, Mr. B's, SmashHouse Burger, Royal House, Antoine's to name a few plus other exciting things to do. Only 2 to 3 blocks from the hotel try Snappers Seafood Restaurant at the corner of Canal and Dauphine for some affordably priced good food, fast and friendly service, and good portions. The Red Line Streetcar travels up and down Canal Street while the Green Line Streetcar travels to and from on St. Charles Ave in front of the Rubenstein Hotel. The hotel lobby and bar area is really nice at this small boutique hotel and is kept dark intentionally in the evenings. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My only minor issues were that there was a fridge in the room but no microwave. The shower only had the glass on one side and no soap holder in the shower The decor, great music, wood floors throughout, and quality furnishings with a sleek, modern vibe, and lighting in the bar and sitting areas made for an excellent overall stay. Hint: Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the balcony sitting areas on the 2nd floor above St. Charles Ave for great views of portons of Canal Street.
