This was the most amazing place for an 8 month old and two tired new parents who needed a relaxing break. The beach and island are stunning. It’s paradise. The place is set up for families. Our 8 month old was right at home in the kids pool and warm flat ocean. The Bure was clean, modern and comfortable and more spacious than expected. We were nervous about using the nanny service but our nanny Mary was incredible. She made us feel at ease and our baby who is definitely in a clingy phase grew attached to her and was happy to spend a few hours each morning with her and then while we had our dinner. Mary took her to kids club where she had so much fun interacting with other kids but with the one on one supervision (all the kids there seemed obsessed with the kids club and the staff amazing). Mary also took her to the beach to play in the sand, in the pool and to visit all the different chefs (special shout out to Mr Singh at the children’s pool restaurant who was so generous and lovely with our baby, as well as Nikhil on pizza and eggs) and bartenders and the ladies in the boutique so she became a bit of a baby celebrity during her stay. Everyone treated her like a princess, especially Mary who just handled our big personality baby with ease. There was enough food to give her that was appropriate at the buffet and on the kids menus but we also took pre packaged puree pouches of fruit and vegetables as a supplement and lots of rusks as she’s big into her solids now. Alessi, A and Lissy at waters edge restaurant were also standouts and always so helpful and made us feel welcome. My husband did four scuba dives and loved them and spoke very highly of Paul the dive master. He thought it was some of the best diving and snorkeling he’d done. I had a great facial and massages with Sandy in the spa. We will definitely be back. Feedback which is minor in the scheme of things: It would be great to see more vegetarian options and not needing to pre order vegetarian meals - the options were good but in this day and age enough people choose low meat or no meat diets it shouldn’t have to be a special request ordered hours ahead of time. Some more fresh food in the buffet like tomatoes, avocado, spinach would be lovely. Also sparkling water being $20 Australian dollars a bottle and adding on to pizzas being $10 per addition is ludicrous. Sometimes the service was slow and information was not volunteered - eg that a pot of coffee was included with the buffet but other coffee orders were not. We were told this on our last day!! A general comment is that I wouldn’t come here if I didn’t have kids - the vibe is overwhelmingly young families. Overall an excellent stay!
