Narrabri Big Sky Caravan Park

Narrabri “Big Sky” Caravan Park. This Park is very near the CBD and is handy for all Clubs , supermarkets and the main shopping area. Initially booked for three nights because of changed plans The very obliging operators were able to extend our stay for another two nights. As I said very obliging, helpful and kudos to them. The Cabin (#1) was a two-bedroom cabin (double bed) with a good sizes kitchen and sitting room area. Large upright fridge and air conditioning. I have found that that cabins built for queen size beds and larger are very scarce. I am sure there are cabins built for that size beds but, as I said, scarce. The was a fairly bog-standard cabin. Built to do a job with not too many frills or extras. No Wi-Fi. A lot of the time its “potluck” with accommodation, especially with cabins in caravan parks. “Big Sky” in Narrabri was very acceptable and if you are not a fan of motels then Caravan parks are a good alternative. Although, unfortunately like most other things, it’s not as cheap as it used to be. Narrabri. We will stay with you again if we are up your way.

We arrive at Big Sky caravan park , the managers were so nice , we had booked a site for 2 nights but then thought we would get an en suite site. We were able to look at the en suite first and we weren’t disappointed. It was extremely clean , bright and towels supplied. This park is central to town with nice sites some shaded.

We checked in, were given no site map, no guidance as to where to camp or not camp so we didn't know if we were taking someone else's spot when setting up camp & we were not given an access code to the toilets/showers. Disgraceful service.

Great clean spacious cabin. Priced right and super comfortable. Quiet, but it was a mid week stay. Close to CBD and shopping for essentials.

I am shocked by the review below and can tell anyone reading this that 'Josie H' is not telling the truth. I was there as a guest in the park and saw what happened. It was 10.45am and Staff were trying to clean the amenities. 'Josie H' was reminded by staff that check out time was 10am (which anyone that travels knows this is pretty standard). She said that she needed to wash hair dye out of her hair. And the staff allowed her 5 minutes in the bathroom to do so as cleaning needed to happen. She mentioned nothing about having a medical condition. So someone is not telling the truth hey 'Josie'. I found the Managers and Staff absolutely lovely and very accommodating during our stay and couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

G’Day Park. G’Day Thieves. We had our E-Bike stolen off the back of our Van. Bolt cutter used to cut locks whilst we were sleeping. Upon notifying Manager/owner, we learnt that their 1 video security camera at front of office does not work. There is also no lighting around the park. No security boom gate. Owner/Manager disclosed security is a major issue for the Park. Saying other bikes, and a Car have been stolen from there. This Park is happy to grab your $, yet fails dismally, in, at least attempting, to provide paying customers with security

We stayed in an unpowered site and camped. Was quiet except for the expected wildlife. The campgrounds were lovely, I used the disability bathroom and it was great- it had just been refurbished. It was huge, had railings everywhere required, a fold down seat for the shower etc You could tell they were trying really hard to make/keep the ground accessible.

Nice Park, Close to Everything in Town! Shaded Sights, We were Moving Interstate, and had 2 x 4wd's, A Caravan, Large Cage Trailer, 2 German Shepherds, Extremely helpful Owners *Tania* and *Deb *Care Takers with a Very Welcoming Can do ! Approach when Booking, and during the 4 night stay. Highly Recommend to All! Travellers Be Respectful to a Wonderful Opportunity to rest your Bones! Xx

Lovely park close to town and well presented. Only stayed overnight and enjoyed the stay. An easy walk into the main street and along the paths behind the park. Reasonable quiet at night and great amenities, which were clean and tidy. It's definitely worth staying here.
