Hotels bij Mount Wakakusa, Nara

Loved the hotel!! It’s in the center of nara city It’s 5 mins walk to the nara shopping area, 5mins walk to the nara park there is deer walking around the hotel in the morning There is free morning city walk tour at 7:00-8:00 with local guide; the bicycle is free The view of the pond is nice the service is great!! 5stars to everything The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable They have drink lounge for free use with unlimited snacks; fruit juice, sake, beer, wine from 15:00pm-2:00am Really recommend everyone that travels to nara city to stay at this hotel!! The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast only provides japanese style food ; grill fish and onigiri The onigiri is huge, grill fish and miso soup is cold I wish they can make the onigiri smaller so We can taste more flavors And hope that they can provide a bakery corner for people who doesn’t like to eat fish Otherwise we loved the hotel and want to go Back again!! Ps: there is not parking space so we need to park at the coin parking costs us 2400¥ /night

Ik verbleef in Nara om de Expo te bezoeken. De locatie was goed, met restaurants en supermarkten in de buurt en het lag dicht bij het station. Het ontbijt had een ruime keuze, maar er was geen koude thee, misschien omdat het op buitenlanders gericht was. De kamer was comfortabel en had veel voorzieningen. Ik heb begrepen dat er niet werd schoongemaakt, misschien als milieuvriendelijke maatregel voor gasten die meerdere nachten verbleven. Hoewel de handdoeken werden verschoond, had ik graag gezien dat de slippers en pyjama's ook verschoond zouden worden.

The hotel is literally next to the JR Nara Station.You can purchase all of your travel tickets there and the airport bus tickets, too. In that area, there is a grocery store, a Walgreens type store, and nice affordable places to eat. I highly recommend the place on the corner(pic #1-2). The two guys that run it are so nice. There is a long shopping/restaurant street kinda across from the tourist center. I don't recommend this one ramen place located there. They make everyone pay before eating, and for the basic ramen that I got, it was overpriced. My bowl wasn't even full!(pic# 3-7) The tourist center is located close by, and the folks in there are very helpful(pic# 8). All of the buses are right there, so touring is very easy. The hotel itself is very comfortable. It's keyless, so take a picture of your pass code. The onsen on the premises has a pass code as well. Inside was very nice and relaxing. I went at 2:20am and it was wonderful. They have pajamas, pillows, and a free happy hour. The variety of spirits is extensive. Also, the elevator smells so good! The scent will de stress you. You can try a lot of things with a nice view of the station. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The last two pictures are the view of the bus terminal. Ik heb dit hotel via Trip geboekt, wat een uitkomst was. Het hotel dat ik via ******* had geboekt, werd flink verknoeid door *******, omdat het hotel de reservering blijkbaar niet had ontvangen. ******* was niet behulpzaam met de verplaatsing (ook al waren er andere hotels beschikbaar), en beweerde dat de hotelcategorie anders was dan degene die ik had geboekt. Hoe dan ook, dit hotel is handig gelegen en schoon. Het enige minpuntje was dat er op de website stond dat er een tweepersoonsbed was, maar er kon maar één persoon in! Uiteindelijk moesten we ¥3000 extra betalen voor de derde persoon (mijn jongste dochter) voor twee kamers. Eén kamer voor mij en de andere voor mijn twee dochters, omdat de manager zo vasthoudend was over één kamer per persoon. Nadat we de extra ¥3000 hadden betaald, vond hij het prima dat er twee personen in één kamer verbleven. Dat sloeg nergens op, tenzij me werd uitgelegd dat het een overheidsvoorschrift is dat slechts één tweepersoonskamer per persoon toestaat.

Faciliteiten: De luxe tweepersoonskamer die ik had geboekt was erg groot. In Japan is het een zegen om een ​​kamer te hebben waar je je koffer kunt openen. Toiletartikelen zijn compleet. This place was so cute and excellent. Staff didn't speak much English, but we were able to communicate easily enough. Room was Japanese Ryokan style. Tatami mats, low table. It had everything needed, shower and toilet in the room too. There is also an onsen that you can reserve for your private use. I asked for a time later at night and they still had one spot available. If you can't get a time then it is ”public use” after 22:00, which seems to mean that you might need to share if others want to join. Location was very good, right in the middle of the historic part of town and a short walk (＜5 min) to Nara park to see the deer. Hotel was very nice and clean. I was here in late December and the air conditioning heater in the room was very good too.

This hotel is exactly something what we expected to experience with a Japanese style room and hot spring. We chose Japanese style room which was spacious enough for 3 guests. Hotel fee already included Japanese dinner served inside room and breakfast (Japanese or American) served in their restaurant. Hot spring is available from 4pm-11pm, however, no morning session is available which a bit disappointed us. Hot spring area is not big, it is more enjoyable when there are only 2-3 guest in the pool. Hotel location is good, only about 6 mins walk from Kintetsu Nara station. The only bad thing was NO elevator or escalator from the station up to ground floor exit. All other main tourist attractions are within walkable distance.

Read this review carefully because it provides a very specific insight. Good things first. Very clean and amazing planning of the place. I loved the garden. Also, nice to have a well water spot with coffee and tea. You can leave your luggage at the counter and go walking till checking-in. I got 110 small dorm. Bedding was great. Each bed had a rest area for work. Bad things. I was given bed #1, which is near the door. At around 6AM two tenants from upstairs started going in and out non-stop. Hence, I had 0 sleep after 6 AM. Check-out is at 10:00, meaning I lost at least 2-3 hours of sleep. The door is very loud and the wall shook next to my bed. I don’t even mention that sound was also loud upstairs. The owners could oil the door parts and, for example, plan upstairs area better to reduce the noise. So, if you plan to come late and have good sleep this place and its dormitories is unlikely for you.

The room was really small. I was alone so it's ok for me but I can't imagine two people sharing a room, it would have been very tight. The communal bath is very good tho. So much better to shower there instead. The location is also not as near to the station as I would like it. It's an average kind of hotel. Nothing great but also nothing to complain about.
