Hotels bij Kohfukuji Temple, Nara

We stayed at the penthouse which oversaw the whole Nara city and its cherry blossoms so the view from the room is spectacular. The room has a private outdoor bathtub which is available 24/7. It was so nice to take a hot bath outdoor with the view of Nara. The penthouse also has a fireplace which is a nice spot at night for sky glazing.

Exceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point. All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable. One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this. I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.

The hotel is literally next to the JR Nara Station.You can purchase all of your travel tickets there and the airport bus tickets, too. In that area, there is a grocery store, a Walgreens type store, and nice affordable places to eat. I highly recommend the place on the corner(pic #1-2). The two guys that run it are so nice. There is a long shopping/restaurant street kinda across from the tourist center. I don't recommend this one ramen place located there. They make everyone pay before eating, and for the basic ramen that I got, it was overpriced. My bowl wasn't even full!(pic# 3-7) The tourist center is located close by, and the folks in there are very helpful(pic# 8). All of the buses are right there, so touring is very easy. The hotel itself is very comfortable. It's keyless, so take a picture of your pass code. The onsen on the premises has a pass code as well. Inside was very nice and relaxing. I went at 2:20am and it was wonderful. They have pajamas, pillows, and a free happy hour. The variety of spirits is extensive. Also, the elevator smells so good! The scent will de stress you. You can try a lot of things with a nice view of the station. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The last two pictures are the view of the bus terminal. Really close to JR rail station, clean and tidy hotel, excellent showers facilities.

This place had a great location to some of the sites to visit and also offered parking for a very reasonable fee to qhich I needed due to me renting a car. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms are basic but very functional and clean and this place had a laundry facility which proved very useful. I would highly recommend this place

Dit hotel ligt in de buurt van de Todaiji-tempel in Nara. Read this review carefully because it provides a very specific insight. Good things first. Very clean and amazing planning of the place. I loved the garden. Also, nice to have a well water spot with coffee and tea. You can leave your luggage at the counter and go walking till checking-in. I got 110 small dorm. Bedding was great. Each bed had a rest area for work. Bad things. I was given bed #1, which is near the door. At around 6AM two tenants from upstairs started going in and out non-stop. Hence, I had 0 sleep after 6 AM. Check-out is at 10:00, meaning I lost at least 2-3 hours of sleep. The door is very loud and the wall shook next to my bed. I don’t even mention that sound was also loud upstairs. The owners could oil the door parts and, for example, plan upstairs area better to reduce the noise. So, if you plan to come late and have good sleep this place and its dormitories is unlikely for you.

The room was really small. I was alone so it's ok for me but I can't imagine two people sharing a room, it would have been very tight. The communal bath is very good tho. So much better to shower there instead. The location is also not as near to the station as I would like it. It's an average kind of hotel. Nothing great but also nothing to complain about.
