Stayed one night. All very satisfying except very old and small lift. Staff very pleasant and helpful, not necessarily something I expect in Munich

What to say ? Easy and efficient check in/out. The room was slightly old. No fridge or safe and fairly used furniture. However beds are very comfy. Now, the breakfast was great. Nice and delicious set up and the kitchen staff is friendly, smiling and serviceminded. The location is good close to the center, however expect a little noise from the street. With a little renovation this hotel would score 5 stars I would say. Would we go again ? Indeed we would, Altmünchen gets the job done.

I’m absolutely disgusted and can only say anyone who stays in 102 do NOT SHINE YOUR PHONE LIGHT UNDER THE BED ITS ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC disgustingly dirty but yet the hotel seems clean just clean what you can see. As for the man on reception he was so so rude twice once when I asked for the free bottle of water on arrival which I didn’t recieve and again when looking for a drink at the bar I asked for ice . It was like I asked for him to service my car free of charge he was disgusted said no he had none two min later I ask the young lady who kindly gave me ice NEVER EVER AGAIN AN ABSOLUTE FILTHY KIP

We enjoyed our stay, close in proximity to dinning locations & transportation. Only draw back is the walk up the steps, they have a small lift we used primarily for just hauling our luggage up and down. Would recommend this location for your stay in Munich.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days during Oktoberfest and it was in a great location. Very close to the subway and lots of restaurants, shops, convenience stores nearby.
The hotel is older, but we found the rooms very charming and they were clean. There is no AC, so staying here in the summer could be uncomfortably hot, as it was we slept with the windows open all night.
Staff were friendly and spoke English. There is only one elevator that really only fits two people at a time, but again we found it quite charming. I would recommend to stay here as long as you don't have mobility issues.

Altmünchen is within easy walking distance of the Sendlinger Tor U-Bahn station, which is only one stop from the main Munich train station. Also within easy walking distance of many sites in old Munich. We had a room for 3, which was cozy, but worked fine for our sleeping purposes. Front desk staff was always present, friendly, and helpful. Only word of caution is, there are many sirens from fire and police vehicles due to the close proximity to a fire station, but with widows closed, it's not very noticable. I'd love to stay at Hotel Altmünchen again.

The front desk guy was very rude upon check-in. No A/C in the room and the property didn’t look like it did online

They put us in an attic room where it is 40 degrees Celsius (over 100 degrees Fahrenheit), and there is no AC. This is uninhabitable, and all they tell me is that they are “fully booked” (I booked our room months ago) and they don’t even have a fan for us. This is completely unacceptable and they have zero customer service, and nobody able or willing to help us.
