Unfortunately we were asked to pay $20 a night for the firewood. Seems petty

My husband and I recently stayed at the escarpment mt Tamborine it was a perfect experience . Beautiful surrounds being in the rain forest ,peace and quite,amazing views ,and top accommodation and the management couldn’t, have been more helpful and charming.

If you are looking for peace and quiet and to get away from it all in idyllic surroundings this is the place for you - especially if you like accommodation that transforms you back to a bygone era. The colonial charm and picturesque gardens were magnificent but the only negative was the extremely poor TV reception. Lucky they have a DVD player in the rooms and while the TV reception was understandable considering the location - high in the hills - for the price we paid you would think they would have better reception. But overall still highly recommended.

On arrival at the gate the sign says “ Luxury Accommodation & Spa” What a joke! We were incredulous as we walked through the house, verandah furniture that should be dumped, mould on ceilings & screens, filthy windows, mould in bathroom, just old and unloved! The list goes on…Do not believe photos at all! Only positives were the beds and massages by 2 lovely masseuse! Mt Tambourine is just beautiful and the people,food, wine was wonderful! Carolyn was not helpful and I believe should not be in the customer service or for tourism industries at all!

The reality of the accomodation certainly did not match the photos and we were charged a premium price Mildew and mould in the bathroom and also on ceiling of one bedroom. Broken and dilapidated outdoor furniture. Towels from previous guests were hanging in the wardrobe. The saving grace was the massage. Would not recommend this accomodation to anyone.
