100% would stay again....Loved it so much we are looking into buying one.

I hate to be negative when reviewing my accommodation, but I really was disappointed in this one. The pictures on the website look a lot nicer than my room turned out to be. I think they must have been taken years ago, before wear and tear set it. I had a one bedroom apar**ent with kitchen, laundry and bathroom. (209) Also a nice wide balcony. The apar**ent block is in an excellent location, one road back from the main beach, and across the road from the Mount Hot pools. You can see Mount Maunganui from the balcony. It was great to have a washing machine and dryer and a fully equipped kitchen, even if I didn't use it. The water pressure in the shower is great, the towels are big and white, and the bed was comfy enough, but... the pillows were not good. 4 different levels of comfort but they felt old and well over their use-by date. The furniture in the room has seen better days. It definitely looks like it was kitset and hasn't been replaced in a long time. The bedside table was bubbling and peeling, the couch was a small two seater which did not feel comfortable enough to relax on and the TV is a cheap one from The Warehouse that didn't have any features except for Sky TV. It was also quite far away from the couch. I went to use the ironing board and it has a cover, but there is no padding underneath it, so that needs replacing. The balcony furniture has seen better days too. The website claims: "The Pacific Apar**ents offer quality furnishings and fittings in all apar**ents, modern decor, superior finish and impeccable styling. " Well, that was not true for my room, which cost me $540 for two nights. It was very bland with little thought to interior design. It was just me staying and I didn't use any of the other on site facilities - gym, pool, conference room and carpark. I'd say, stay here for the location, but don't expect it to be a nice place to relax and lounge in. Sorry. But that is true from my experience.

Booked holiday for one week but left 3 days early due to poor weather . Upon arrival at the Pacific we were greeted by a very pleasant lady. However, our room was very average with only 2 of the 3 main door hinges holding door, tv was on a permanent angle which could not be straightened, light bulb blown in bathroom so had to rob one from another room, and fridge and the freezer section was in very poor condition. Location was excellent. It was a lot of money for a room that was becoming quite run down. We also booked a second room for family. This room looked out onto a wrapped building. We were given $100 per night discount in advance. However, it needed to be a bigger discount or a different room. We just felt the service wasn’t there this year and for what we paid, I’d expect a bit more for the $$$.

My daughter paid for me to stay here. I went to the Reception, I was talking to the receptionist when the phone rang and she just picked it up and I had to wait. 1 sheet of paper was then shown to me where she pointed out the rules, no sitting on the balcony after 10pm no smoking or vaping. They put me in a 2 bedroom apar**ent but I was told you can only use 1 bed and 1 bathroom. I went to the apar**ent. The swimming pool automatically closes at 9pm. You have to take your rubbish with you and put it in the appropriate bins downstairs when you go. You have to put your washing up in the dishwasher before you go and put it on or you will be charged extra for cleaning. I went to use the toaster and it hadn’t been cleaned and I couldn’t have a shower because that also hasn’t been cleaned. For all this you get to pay $240 per night. Never again. I had a view of a huge marquee from my window and builders making s noise at .8 am in the morning.

As a Tripadvisor aficionado, I had naturally read a number of the review of The Pacific Apar**ents before I went and so forewarned, as they say, is forearmed. I knew to expect a list of rules (that mostly seemed to be about noise prevention - perhaps to comply with some body corporate rules??) and knew that there was an expectation to take the rubbish out at the end so none of that was a big deal. I also knew that there was some remediation work being done on a property next door which blocks the view but was really pleased that the management were so upfront about it that they called me before I came to explain this and to offer me a discount accordingly. As such, we weren't planning on spending a great deal of time in the apar**ent and so wasn't concerned about that. The two bedroom apar**ent we had was warm, spacious, had two bathrooms, was clean (but without being flawless) and has the ability to self cater if you wanted. We used the spa pool and my daughter used the gym - and all up we had a good stay at a handy location that's near the beach and five minutes' walk to shops and restaurants.

The staff member upon check in was quite rude and told me I shouldn’t have used *********** and that they would’ve upgraded us if we didn’t use it. I found this quite rude and unprofessional. The room was a bit tired and had quite a few marks on the walls and some holes above the bed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable! Instead of buying new mattresses, they had put a memory foam topper on which was like sleeping on a rock. The location of the apar**ent was very good and the mount and restaurants were very accessible. The shower had very good pressure but the glass was covered in water marks and made it look unclean. Probably won’t be staying here again if we return to the Mount.

Nice quiet large hotel with somewhat good views, but I wouldn't recommend it on that basis, better views elsewhere. Our room was very clean and tidy, no issues with 'tired' furniture etc. What was disappointing is paying good money for a hotel but having to take our own rubbish downstairs to the bins (and then the bin wasn't there so you had to go back up from the basement and out and around to the casual carpark) and also put our dishes in the dishwasher when we left to avoid a "cleaning" fee. In my opinion, the rate for the room includes any cleaning fee. And the dishwasher in my room had the last person's clean dishes still in it! We were going to check if they wanted us to wash our own sheets too. A bit cheeky and this is what would stop me from staying here again. If I wanted to do my own dishes I would have stayed at home, not gone on holiday.

We had a two bed apar**ent on an upper floor which had wonderful view over Pilot Bay. The apar**ent was spotless and everything was in very good condition. The location is perfect and an easy walk to the Mount and both beaches. A relatively short walk into the shops, (Maybe 15 mins or so) and an easy drive everywhere else. Would happily stay there again.
