Impressive Playa Granada Golf

Firstly We left overall very happy with our 4 night stay this week , it’s a long review because I personally feel this hotel could be great and I am bored on my flight home , so had time to give it some thought. It’s ironic the difficult things to change like hotel structure/views/grounds /rooms are already good . It’s the food /drink and entertainment thats lacking. In addition there are not a lot of options near by to use instead if you don’t have a car. My husband found us a good reduction booking directly on the hotel website so we paid for a seafront suite and upgraded to the premier all inclusive . Aim of visit was to relax in the sunshine, as well as use it as a base to visit Granada one day with the option to play golf another as we are both golfers. Weather was kind which definitely helped us enjoy our stay. I emailed the hotel a few weeks before explaining ideally what we would ideally prefer for a room and was very pleased we got this. The complex is big , many balconies had only morning or afternoon sun and some seemed a fair trek from the limited amenities. Although not first row of buildings at the sea front and we paid seafront ( was second row ) we were still very happy with our room. 3205 so thank you who ever thought to give us this room. It suited us very well. 1 small balcony off the separate sitting area had a table and 2 chairs & a very nice clear sea view of the pretty swing / wedding stand , beach area with the other balcony off the bedroom had 2 sun loungers ( very comfy but needed re covering as plastic coating split in places ) It had a-nice view when you stood up - roof tops otherwise but important for me , it had sun from around 10am til sunset - in fact from it we could see 95% of the sun dip into sea , obscured by land at the very last dip. Saw some lovely sunsets . It was overall a very comfortable set of rooms .2 Tvs which had Netflix when on satellite mode. Position Was quiet, could hear the sea on the balconies yet close to their pools/ bar. The Gardens of this hotel are lovely. With plenty of sun beds around all of its 3 good sized pools ( shame 1 not partly heated as they were v cold when you first got in) As others say the beach is small & pebbly but you can access the sea easily enough ( although goes deep quickly and strong currents possible so not child friendly) There are lots of sun-beds and wooden shaded umbrellas in the garden area by the sea edge Allowing lovely views , with its loud wave sounds , making it a very nice area to be. On the Sunday when we arrived and the kiosks drink hut was open, this area was great . We overall enjoyed the quality of the buffet food. However we love fish and there were always several fish options for lunch and dinner. . Wine ( red and white and sangria )we felt was ok considering it was “ on tap” , never a great sign. The Rose we didn’t like. The glasses of Cava were pleasant, but not available in the dining room and rare

What a lovely surprise this hotel turned out to be!! The value is amazing, approx £250 per day for four of us for all inc. Therefore we weren’t quite sure of the quality but we were not disappointed!! Food was high quality and varied, buffet has a different theme night each night over a two week period so lots of choice Snack bar is sit down from a menu which was lovely Theme al la carte is same location as snack bar but offered a nice change to the buffet and being waited on! Location is about an hour north of Malaga so we hired a car and used the last day to go via Granada. Hotel has steps virtually into the sea! There is a small strip of sand//small stones beach but the water was warm and clear and much nicer than resorts south of Malaga. Golf was reasonable and a lovely course We will definitely return as we loved being around mostly Spanish, Italian and Germans, so felt like we were really abroad!!

Very nice resort on the Southern coastal area of Andalusia; the venue is beautiful, extremely clean in the rooms and the common spaces, surrounded by luxurious vegetation and facing a nice half-sandy half-stone beach; concept-wise it's an all-inclusive resort, but the atmosphere, the organization and services are better than the average venues of that kind; my wife and I are not much into tourist villages, so we were a bit afraid, but the experience was excellent; clean and spacious rooms, the garden, the pools and the beach are cozy and nice, food and drinks are pretty good if you consider it's all at buffet, so quantities are huge, hard to keep good quality; but finally the food variety allows you to always find something good; there's a show every night, we watched them all and they were very professional and good to watch; one recommendation: the internal parking places are limited and expensive (15 euros/day) but there's plenty of free parking spaces in the streets nearby; consider finding one there before booking the hotel's

This is a comprehensive review of the Impressive Playa Hotel. For english customers, this is a predominantly spanish hotel and many of the workers do not speak proficient english. We regularly struggled to order drinks as the bartenders did not understand what we wanted. However, the cocktails and drinks themselves were very nice. I would also point out that it is not black friendly. This is not because of the workers as they were all very friendly and I could not fault them. I was regularly stared at everyday by Spanish vacationers, however for my friends who are all POC, it was horrifically worse. This was very tiring and did put a bit of a dampener on the holiday. Additionally, being some of them only english people at hotel meant the looks were even more apparent. The food was varied with a different theme most days. Majority of the food we tried was well cooked and seasoned although the meat was often dry and the bread was tough and hard. In the morning before 9, it is extremely quiet and relaxed. If you are by the pool between 9:30-9:45 (the pool opens at 10) it’s likely there will be sunbeds available as it doesn’t start to get busy until after 10. However, there is a rule that you are not allowed to reserve sunbeds before 10am. This did not seem to be enforced when we were there. Despite this, lifeguards were vigilant about sunbeds that had been empty for over an hour throughout the day and would remove towels from said sunbeds. They would often ask (in spanish) if certain towels were ours if we had been in the pool for a while when doing their rounds. The pool games and entertainment throughout the day was very much geared towards spanish people as many of them were done in Spanish. The pool bar is not really a “pool” bar, but indoors where you have to dry off and dress before going in. The rules are understandable, however, inconvenient. The hotel in general was exceptionally clean. The rooms were gorgeous, cleaned and bedsheets/towels changed everyday. The only downsides are that the air-con is noticeably weak so you don’t really feel the effects while you are in there and doesn’t stay on while you are out, and there is no door between the shower and the rest of the room. It is separated by the wall of wardrobes however is difficult to manoeuvre when on holiday with friends. The beach is not what we expected. It’s rocky and there are no sunbeds on it (not that it would have been pleasant if there was). The hotel does not have much in terms of entertainment surrounding it. There are a few beach bars a 20 minute walk away, however ordering anything was done in strained english/spanish. The closest place is Motril which was a 15 minute taxi ride. It did not have much there however was a nice place to visit. Again all people we encountered did not speak English. I would like to preface that this is not a negative or bad thing, however it can be difficult to navigate anything when you don’t understand or know much spanish. To visit

I loves my time here, buffet is nice and the rooms are very good. I love the facilities there and the all inclusive is very good. I have one complaint though.They did not let you use inflatables or beach balls in the pool which made the pool seem much less fun for familys.
