This hotel was perfect for our stay before and after the Kilimanjaro trip: the rooms were simple but cozy and clean. Breakfast and lunches were served based on our wishes and acc to our schedules. The staff was friendly and serviceminded. They fixed everything we asked for (only milk for my coffee was missing one morning🤭) The lobby area was our living room in the evenings, a perfect place for some beers, whisky and play Yatzy. The electricity is not available 24/7 but we managed well without. Bring your flashlight! It is also needed when walking to some of the restaurants and shops nearby in the evenings! Warm recommendation!

I’ve just spent a total of a week in Moshi, staying at Kilimanjaro safaris lodge before and after a hike. Walter, the manager is wonderful, and made me feel welcome from the first moment I arrived. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. And while there were some language barriers, we always managed to work around them. And the breakfast was delicious and plentiful!! The entire hotel, and the rooms are clean and tidy, and well presented. They are light and airy, and there is a large balcony on the first floor where you can enjoy the sunshine and a coffee. I was in Moshi over my birthday, and Walter arranged a birthday celebration dinner with some of the staff. There was a delicious meal of traditional foods and a cake!!! By the end of my time here, I felt I was saying goodbye to family, and not a hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you Walter and staff!!!

Staff exceeded my expectations for customers service. Very polite and prompt with any questions. Our bags missed our connecting flight and our host coordinated with the airport for their prompt return - a favour that was very helpful as we did not have a SIM card and there was a language barrier. They held onto items that we didn’t want to bring on our Kilimanjaro hike and kept safe till we returned. The hotel is located about a 5 min drive from Moshi. Food was really good and they were accommodating as our tours finished at odd hours. I’d like to mention again about the customer experience as I have never experienced such an accommodating host, Walter and the rest of his staff were so good to us. - Canada

I’ve just spent a total of a week in moshi, staying at Kilimanjaro safaris lodge, before and after a hike. Walter, the manager is wonderful and very accommodating. I was made feel welcome from when I first arrived at the hotel. The other staff were also very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The rooms as well as the entire hotel are clean and tidy, there is a wonderful balcony you can sit in the sunshine. I was in moshi over my birthday, and Walter arranged a wonderful celebration for me, with the staff and they even had a cake!! By the end of my time here it felt more like saying goodbye to family than a hotel. I would recommend Kilimanjaro safaris lodge to anyone!

I did not travel december of 2022 but 2020. iIstayed 2 months and it was an excellent stay. Manager always tried to help as much as he could. The girls working there became almost family in a way. I will recommend. could not cook around the staffs as they always had meat out and i was vegan so requested a kitchen and they kindly understood and gave me one. (had to supply my own hob of course.

This was by far the perfect place to stay pre and post my Kilimanjaro climb. Located not far from the centre but far enough away to be quiet it's the perfect location to rest up, eat well and relax or even work remotely as it has Internet and lovely balcony areas. Walter and the team are amazing, going above and beyond to do anything the can to make your time there 100% perfect. 10/10.

Three friends and I travelled to Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro as a fundraiser and the Kilimanjaro Safari Lodge was set up by our tour organization Local Moshi Adventures (which were incredible). We had no expectations upon arrival but were immediately blown away. We were greeted at 4am after a long flight from Canada with fresh mango juice. Unfortunately, some of our bags did not arrive and we’re stuck in transit. Walter, the hotel’s supervisor, went out of his way to personally coordinate their safe arrival and managed to get them from Istanbul, Turkey to Moshi the next day before our trek began. After finishing our trek, he even went so far as to personally deliver our gross climb clothes to a local laundry service and have them delivered back to the hotel in time for our safari the next morning. We truly cannot express how much this meant. Walter you are the best! The rest of the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating and really made for a fantastic start to the trip. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and food was great. If you are coming to Moshi, I would highly recommend staying at the Kilimanjaro Safari Lodge.

We stayed at Kilimanjaro Safaris Lodge pre and post Kilimanjaro climb in Feb 2023. I received service here that has been unparalleled anywhere else I have travelled. The staff were super friendly, and really went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed including organizing and transporting our laundry in to Moshi post-climb - not to mention all of the incredible and cheap food throughout our stay. We also had an incredible view of Kilimanjaro from te patio. To Walter and his phenomenal staff - ahsante sana!!!

Absolutely amazing staff. I’ve never experienced hospitality such as we experienced here! Clean rooms, great food, convenient location, incredible view of Kilimanjaro! Our flights arrived late (3am) and staff were available and provided chilled fresh mango juice! Staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful! I cannot say enough positive things about this location! Highly recommend! (Attached is a picture of Kilimanjaro during sunrise on the balcony)
