Charmant en centraal gelegen hotel. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel lopen ook nog even mee naar de kamer om alles even uitvreten leggen Klassiek ingerichte kamers met hoge plafonds en goede matrassen. Prima allemaal en ook fijn dat de auto ( 7€) op de binnenplaats kan staan waarvan het hek na 23.00 dicht gaat.

Great location, really nice bedroom and bathroom. My only minor complaint is that they need to upgrade their towels!

We were delighted with our stay at Le Sphinx. The hotel was lovely, quaint, set back from the street, quiet. The furnishings were perfect for the setting. We had a room with a balcony and it was inviting. There were numerous restaurants adjacent to the hotel, and a park across the street. We would stay here again in an instant and we wished we had had a reason to book for longer this time.

The hotel is perfectly located with abundant restaurants immediately outside and great shopping and many more restaurants within a few minutes walk. Set back from a busy boulevard on a courtyard, is is quiet. One could not ask for a better location. We found it easily although drove past the entrance the first time and had to circle back ( which was easy on the boulevard.) Private secure parking. The hotel is historic with an attached annex which is newer. We were in the annex in a very large room, beautifully furnished, immaculate, with a large bath, and a private balcony overlooking the courtyard. Warm welcome and wonderful hospitality from staff. English speaking staff available. Free wi-fi which was balky first night but fine after that. Breakfast buffet was fresh and generous. We stayed two nights and this stay was a highlight of our trip. I don't believe there is a lift. There was a room on the ground floor in the annex which appeared to be accessible, but am not sure of that.

We enjoyed a two night stay in a room with two comfortable queen size beds that had a degree of privacy due to a room dividing wall. No elevator just a beautiful old staircase. Breakfast is offered for a reasonable price and was quite fresh and plentiful.

What a find! Lovely 27th century house with lots of original features. I don’t know why other reviewers have moaned about the furniture, it fits perfectly with the building. The hotel is in the middle of a busy ***** of restaurants but has its own gated entrance to a courtyard for parking. The rooms are quite small but have a big bathroom. Breakfast was good with all the usual offerings. The hotel seems to be run by two men, one is outgoing, chatty and friendly , the other is much quieter and could be mistaken for rude, as in other reviews, but he’s really not, I think he’s just a bit shy. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and will recommend it to anyone visiting Montelimar.
