The Surf Lodge

Be very careful booking a hotel room here! They cancelled my hotel booking without informing me why and then did not refund the payment! I can’t believe that influencers and celebrities want to be associated with a place that is literally stealing money from customers. I booked the Surf Lodge for the end of September and the money was taken from our account. It was a birthday present from my husband (we are based in the UK and we were really excited to visit). A few days later I received a cancellation automated email. I then followed up by email to find out why. It turns out that the hotel is closed in September despite booking being open online! A month later, I have sent approximately 10 emails and have called the hotel multiple times however no one has answered and no refund has been given for the room payment. It’s absolutely disgusting treatment of customers. We were so excited to visit after seeing all the hype online about the location. I

Come here if you want to wait 40 mins for a drink order, one hour to get your food and while you’re still eating they request you to leave to “turn the table over”. I will never come here again and will ensure that everyone I know is informed of this unwelcome experience.

Beautiful stay at Surf Lodge this weekend! They offered surf lessons this weekend! We had the best time! I’ve now fallen in love with surfing!! The team of surf instructors were so great. They had wet suits for us & called to make sure we knew location. It’s honestly was one of the best weekends I’ve ever had in Montauk. I hope they continue this next summer!

Such a great place! Hotel rooms are cozy and chic! Amazing service. Great musicians and great crowd for the evening performances ! highly recommend if you want a little fun getaway from the city!

Hands down the best place in Montauk to stay at. Staff at the Surf Lodge are incredibly welcoming and attentive. Amazing parties all weekend long. Rooms are made with such an attention to detail, you will feel rejuvenated just by seeing it. Definitely coming back very soon!

We stayed here for a weekend qwuth my best friend and we could not recommend the place enough. The rooms are so aesthetic, the staff is so attentive. And its the place to be any evening! We had so much fun. The sunsets are also to die for.

From the moment we checked in until our departure, we had a fabulous stay at The Surf Lodge. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. Jess, Kyle and Alex were extremely helpful. We will miss your lovely smile and can do attitude Jess. Cannot wait to return to this unique hotel. 👏👏👏

I stopped by today around 3pm to shop at the boutique. It was not crowded at all but there was some kind of velvet rope scenario. I waited for a few minutes but nobody would greet me and the girls at the hostess stand wouldn’t make eye contact with me. It was kind of an awkward distance from the rope to the stand, so I stepped past the rope to approach the desk to ask if I could shop in the boutique and a HIDEOUSLY rude and offensive blond in a hat started yelling at me. I asked her if I could please shop at the boutique and she said no you are not allowed here. And I said I’m so sorry I didn’t realize, I’m happy to leave and I turned around to make my way out. Then she kept berating me and said you need to leave right now. I turned to walk back to my car, but it was it was kind of a weird maze of ropes. She kept yelling at me and said “you need to use your words”, like I’m a toddler. I finally said “you can stop being nasty , I’m literally leaving here as fast as I can”. What a bizarre nightmare. I truly felt like she was accosting me when all I wanted to do was shop. I was well dressed and extremely polite until the very end. What in the world?! Shocked and won’t ever return for any reason. She should be fired on the spot as this is terrible business.

Honestly so fun to be here for the week! The staff was super helpful and made sure we were taken care of. The rooms are modern and cute and have such great views of the pond. The food is very good and we were able to eat almost ever meal here. There are bikes available and the beach is super close. Great experience, would recommend!
