The resort was good, but the chalets were tired and outdated. We visited Montagu quite a bit as children and everything Still looks exactly the same now that we are adults. The plettenberg chalets could definitely do with an upgrade

Thank you for yet another awesome stay. According to my five year old son we only came for the soccer turf :-). I however just love Montagu Springs and its serene a**osphere. It has become our annual April family trip and thank you for being part of a tradition.

It was my daughter 16th birthday gift to here and my sister and her family 1st time by montagu and we all had a SPECIAL STUNNING MEMORIAL TIME

We had a wonderful time at Montagu Springs. We had 5 chalets all of us enjoyed the stay. Definitely going back because my kids loved it.

We have been coming to our timeshare here for over 15 years. The changes are horrible. There is loud music playing all day that can be heard from every room. Going to rest away from people is not an option. A quiet relaxed time in the hot pools is loud and annoying. Our small children could not have their day sleep either. The bed is so hard and uncomfortable it’s just not a pleasant weekend away at all. Two years ago we were so happy to come here and looked forward to it with the children. Now we are thinking about selling and not coming back. The pools have been made so much smaller if you swim someone is always on top of you!!!!!

We had a overall good experience and our stay was a pleasant one. I just can't understand why there's a payment you need to make for every visit to the hot pools. This should be inclusive.

Never go here. The property is terribly maintained. There were holes in the floor where we stayed, rips in couches, tears in curtains and our unit stank of urine. We even asked to move which was a slight improvement, the new unit had a plank covering the hole in the floor. If you want to visit the hot pools you have to pay an additional R20 pp pd and if you want to visit the hot pools by the hotel it is an additional R165 pp pd. You also don't get access to the hotel side of the pools and what you do have access to is essentially 3 warm puddles. I was so outraged at the lack of maintenance of this property considering the price we paid. Do yourself a massive favour and avoid this place. I will say the staff at reception were lovely and helpful.

We stayed in one of the plets close to the pool, I was able to sit on the stoep and keep an eye on the kids! Much more enjoyable than I thought! We had a great time. The staff is friendly and helpful!
