The team here made our stay so special and helped us celebrate our Wedding Anniversary
The standard of Food was exceptional and we felt so much at home here

Absolutely beautiful - a complete treat. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the villa and the service was excellent and really comfortable. The pool was perfect - warm and no overpowering chemicals. Hugely recommend.

We like small hotels and this is a real find for us. Great service and food and whilst not on the beach there are a vast number of loungers around the pools and grounds and there is loads of space. On our next trip visit we'll hire a car at the airport and make our own way there (max 30 minutes) which will then facilitate trios to Olhao and Barril Beach

It is not often that one stays in a hotel where the room is perfect, where everything works perfectly first time (the safe, the lock, air-conditioning etc), where the bathroom contains sufficient room for all toiletries etc, where there is sufficient clothes hangers and wardrobe space and where the bed is super comfortable. Our room (a deluxe room) was perfect with a nice terrace. Equally perfect were the beautiful grounds at the hotel, the breakfast, and friendly service. It was so relaxing and peaceful here - we loved it and cannot wait to return. Compared to the price of equivalent quality hotels in the UK, it was excellent value too.

Friendly, attentive staff. Attention to details when waiting tables whether it was breakfast or dinner. Plenty of bottled water available. Tranquil atmosphere. Yoga and Pilates on offer if you choose. Nice touches like straw hats for you to use and keep.

This hotel by far is the best hotel I have ever stayed. The hotel itself is unique and extremely beautiful. The staff are the kindest most attentive hotel staff I have encountered. My mother was in a bad biking accident and Vila Monte staff waited up for me to make sure I had a warm meal when I arrived back at 12:30am. They helped me find a hotel close to the hospital and did everything they could to help me while dealing with such a hard situation. I would go back to this hotel in a heart beat, and can promise that this place will not disappoint.

The Octant Vila Monte is a beautiful hotel set into the countryside about 4-5 miles from the beach. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and peaceful as the hotel, its grounds and our room were presented beautifully. The staff in all areas were so kind, friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh produce and a stunning view and the hotel restaurant served amazing food each day. The adults only po was t heated but with the sunshine that wasn’t a problem. I borrowed a bike to cycle into the local towns which was a great addition. All in all, highly recommend - we’ll be back as soon as we can!

Each morning we were greeted by the fragrance of orange blossoms from the fruit trees that line the main avenue. Vila Monte staff went out of their way to welcome us, providing excellent dining recommendations and lending my son a book on local birding sites and natural areas. The room was spotless and filled with nice touches, like a personalized bottle of wine, fluffy white robes, sun hats, yoga mats and beach/pool towels. Grounds are magical with well-maintained winding paths to secluded gardens, ponds with koi fish and cheerful birdsong. Staff seem to truly enjoy working here and engaging with us. Food was outstanding with many good options for breakfast and dinner. Our stay was peaceful and rejuvenating; we take with us happy memories and look forward to returning!

Albeit one of their more expensive room categories with sea and mountain view, the room was wonderful with an excellent lay-out. The large bed was wonderfully comfortable. The grounds were wonderfully kept and the heated pool wonderfully warm. The breakfast and indeed the restaurant were wonderful. The team were truly wonderful, management and indeed Portugal, can be proud of the way these young people conduct themselves. We were there in mid February, and even the weather, reaching 25 centigrade and 4 days of sun, was wonderful.
