OYO 388 Surf Sea Breeze

Manager of the place was very ******..he spoke well to everyone white.. since i was travelling from india..he had his arrogance and voice up.. wanted me to empty the room at the last moment..even though his staff was informed that i would be extending by one day..but the manager accepted bookings online and informed me to vacate immediately just coz of nationality while there were plenty people staying.. Such arrogance and attitude tells a lot abt the manager Have no complaints about the property..Dinesh who handled everything was very cooperative and knew his job well

we were here in the offseason and we really liked it, especially the staff of the restaurant was really friendly and helpful, the room was also nice and so we spent a few great days here. at that time you had almost the whole area to yourself..

My husband and I have just spent a couple of months here. The kitchen produced consistently excellent food from the cleanest kitchen on the beach. The staff, without exception looked after us so well. We had breakfast watching the best surfing, beach walks, perfect silence throughout the day to read our books and every whim attended to be it a snack or wonderful juices delivered to our sun beds. We did not want to leave. Our bed was very comfortable and 6 foot wide, towels changed daily and bedrooms changed upon request. The owner, Mr Sunil really cares.

We have just eaten at this restaurant for supper and had the best meal - the chef is consistently good - we have now been in Mirissa for 2 months. The kitchen is for all to see through glass and is hygienically immaculate. Also the loos are modern and always clean. I would recommend highly.

We stopped there for a lunch as we arrived to Mirissa. The staff seemed to care only to that point when we sat by their table and ordered. Then it was just sooo bland. When we got our drinks or food, they just dropped it in front of us. No smile, no words, no a**osphere. There was about 5 members of staff and we were the only customers at the time, they all sat around the bar, smoking right behind us while we been eating. Just not a good experience. Food was ok, but nothing special. Sure there’s many others establishments around they would actually appreciate that they have customers. Also, the prices includes 10% service tax, which in this case was not worth it at all…

The most horrible place I’ve been to first off the sheets were dirty it was horrendous the toilet smelled really bad everything was dirty i used my jacket as a blanket because it was so dirty the water wasn’t even coming out of the sink properly and when we were checking out my friend left her phone in the room and came back 5 minutes later and the phone was gone and on find my it was turned off and the only people that were there were the staff and they were acting really sketchy and suspicious so we asked the manager if he didn’t take it then who did? The staff? And he didnt even bother to ask the staff he was soo sure that they didnt take it he didnt even bother to ask them they didnt even care and my friend wasnt even out of the hotel yet she went right back in and it was gone. The room was not clean,the staff were careless so i defiantly do mot recommend going here ever

The devilled chicken was full of very sharp bones, with barely any chicken in it. We wounded our mouth on the very sharp splinters of the bone mixed in the food. The taste was not that great either. We will choose a better place next time! We made a comment about it and they did not even react, still charged us 10 procent for the (lack of) service.

It's a shame to have to say it, because the staff are nice and it might have been a nice place to stay once, but no one sane would enjoy a night here; the rooms are now very tired, and the worst thing is the super-loud beach parties that go on right across the road - impossible to sleep!

Delicious pancakes and shaksuka. Comes with coffee and fresh fruit too. Great value for money and lovely service. Generous portions and you always leave feeling very satisfied. A lovely view of watching the surfers and the waves whilst you eat.
