This Hotel have signs that it was a nice place to stay before covid. There are some improvements the owner is addressing such as plumbing. Being without guest for a couple years and the owner was really not expecting us as he had cancelled all bookings, the generator for the AC was not primed. However, the owner was the epitome of hospitality
His staff on hand quickly found a room with an old fashion electic AC that worked quite well. The room was quickly dusted and a small fridge was moved into the room
The linen was clean and next morning the front desk staff brought us hot coffee. They really tried to accommodate us. The decor is native to Haiti. The location is in the central area of Cap City but on a quieter side street.
I think once the improvements to the plumbing issues are made and the entry treshold tiles replace, some cleaning up of the entry courtyard etc is done it will again reflect the vibrancy it must have had before the 2 years neglect occurred. I must add that I'm a usual 4-5* hoyel patron and was really repelled at the 1st impression. But our driver had a long day driving us fro Hinche over a very rough 2hours of bad road and he abandoned us after dropping us off at the front gate. The 2 young women that was there were obviously not expecting us. They called the owner and he was one of the nicest understaning persons ever. Along with the 2 youn ladies, my husband's patience I was able to calm down sufficiently to accept the hospitality.
