Te prijzig. Ik kwam pas op de laatste dag te weten over gratis koffie in de ochtend. $ 45 voor twee drankjes.
Snel besloten om buiten het hotel te eten op basis van prijs en kwaliteit.

Service, eten en lobby-sfeer was uitstekend. De kamer was niet. Verbleven in een suite (kamer 323). De bank was oud en de arm van de bank was gescheurd. Rotan tapijten waren ook oud, gepild en opgerold op de hoeken (waar ik over struikelde). Moet worden vervangen. Zeer lage waterdruk en het duurde ruim 2-3 minuten om warm water te krijgen. Containers voor shampoo/conditioner/bodywash op de douchewand. Shampoo wilde niet uit de container komen (erg irritant als je al met nat haar onder de douche staat). Het knock-off Keurig-koffiezetapparaat was dun en moeilijk te bedienen. Voor het geld dat voor de kamer is betaald, had ik een betere kwaliteit verwacht.

The Betsy was a great place to stay. Very well located within the busy art deco district, but very quiet and refined as well. No criticisms whatsoever.

Great location right on Ocean Drive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Well appointed rooms, clean & tidy. Hotel had lots of character & class. Loved our stay!!

We stayed 5 nights at the Betsy as a family of 3 (with a 16 month old). Overall we had a lovely stay and glad we chose the Betsy.
The location is great, next to the beach, opposite the park and near Lincoln Road, Española way and on Ocean drive. You’ve lots of eateries, coffee shops and shops around the corner.
The hotel itself, whilst a little tired around the edges (but it’s an historic building) is well maintained. There’s a variety of places to hang out, the bustling bar/lobby, quieter courtyard, cafe area and library. There’s a lovely rooftop pool (and courtyard pool) and other rooftop seating areas. We had the American breakfast each morning at the LT Steakhouse, which was amazing and great quality. The staff there were all very friendly and attentive and really made our stay, and made us feel special. They even gifted our daughter a Betsy soft toy, which was very sweet. We also ate at the restaurant (outside) one evening, which was nice.
We stayed in a classic king suite, which suited us well as it had a separate seating area so we could put our daughter to sleep in the bedroom without having to sit quietly in the dark. The room is well stocked with bottled water, lovely Malin + Goetz toiletries and a coffee machine. There was also a white noise machine (which we only realised on the last day), which is handy with a child. The hotel was tidy but we found the room wasn’t hoovered during our stay (a crawling toddler easily attracts dust).

Beautiful boutique hotel. Bar and restaurant very good but expensive. Gratuity added to everything including just drinks. But all bartenders were very personable and kind. Actually, all staff went above and beyond to make our stay positive and happy. Beautiful art all throughout the hotel. A huge ball suspended in mid air connecting the two buildings. A library in the hotel as well as books everywhere including books in the room. My wife loved that. The rooftop pool could use a little love as tiles were falling off and a lot of bird poop. Not the hotels fault, but the beach had homeless people sleeping throughout. If we were to return to south beach, we would stay there again. But it seems like south beach is not as “nice” as it used to be.

The Betsy felt like a home away from home. It is in the PERFECT location, near all relevant attractions. At the end of each exciting adventure we came home to the Betsy for nightly music, classy but relaxed atmosphere, and food and drinks with new “friends”. Perfect.
