Miami Shore Apartments & Motel

I was charged twice for a one night stay, after several phone calls the manager acknowledged their mistake and stated the overcharged amount would be transferred to my account. It didn't happen, no more response from manager, and still no money. To make it worse the room was dirty with mold on the wall, rubbish left from the previous people in the bathroom bin with out a lid. I would not recommend this place.

If you think of this motel anything more than crash pad, you are mistaken. The anemities are lacking. Lacking as well is cleaniness. But the best part is walkable accessibility to tourist attractions and pubs restaurants.

Booked room there as reasonably priced & especially had a pool. Miniscule room with queen & single bed. No area info or tv guide usually found in motel rooms I've stayed in before. Only thing clean were the sheets, pillow cases & towels, bed cover - no; no blankets (but then probably not clean either). Had to wash glass before could use - wasn't game/didn't use any other crockery, cutlery or appliances. Paint peeling off walls & tiles etc in bathroom. Heavily marked & damaged furniture. Bugs on floor. Iced up freezer had heavens knows what frozen into ice - looked mouldy. Shower hardly worked - dribbled water after using force to even turn taps on. Vending machine outside bathroom window extremely noisy all night. Bathroom window screen disgusting & window frame lose. Sliding door lose also. Didn't feel safe so hardly slept. - especially as curtains never even completely covered door. Wasn't game to use pool - wasn't clean. Very disappointed. No wonder place for sale - in really bad shape (not even motel light lit up outside). Worth half what I paid - & that's being generous.

Friendly welcome, basic accommodation but in need of a refresh (tile paint coming off in bathroom), lots of hot water, clean towels and plenty of soaps. TV, kettle, fridge etc all good. Noisy vending machine outside was a bit of a nuisance. Parking a challenge, on the road is ok at weekends, during weekdays would be an issue. Fine for one night

Owner is rude & obnoxious. *********s done in broad daylight, rooms filthy, safety & security non existent. Fights and arguments all night, we fled due to a guy threatening to shoot a residents at our front door with a 22 rifle and threated to set a guy on fire. Owners response to us when we stated that we didn't feel safe was..."what do you want me to do... you can just leave then."

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night. It was scary, noisy all through the night with moving furniture and fighting all through the night and then again in the morning with 2 men. There was no security at all or gate on the property so it was just on the main road. I felt very unsafe as a female traveler. When I asked to be moved the manager said he would charge me more. I was charged $198 for 2 nights. I was awake almost the whole night so I left in the morning before 9am to stay at another hotel. The door only separates the guest by glass (that has signs of forced entry) to the main road. The curtains are not sufficient as the neon lights strobe into the room all night and do not close properly for privacy either. I asked for a refund at least for the second night and it was refused. There were cigarette burn holes in the blanket and the room was very dusty when I arrived. The place is awful and completely over priced. It’s also just in the middle of a highway so about 20mins the walk to a restaurant or shop. I would caution any female traveller to stay here.
