Wij hadden gekozen voor het arrangement Land Guten Zeiten (wellness/ontbijt/lunch-afternoon snacks/live cooking buffet included, alleen dranken uitg. bij het ontbijt bijbetalen) Prachtig hotel en domein! Rustig gelegen in de natuur, echt om van te genieten. Het beste ontbijt dat ik ooit heb gehad, de variatie en kwaliteit was uitstekend, niets op aan te merken. Het avondeten (live cooking buffet) was ook uitmuntend. Weer perfecte kwaliteit en ook meer dan voldoende keuze en goede bediening. Beide dagen van ons verblijf was er ook andere keuze in gerechten. De kamer (met pool-zicht) was zeer verzorgd en mooi. In de zomer was het idealer geweest omdat je dan van je kamer meteen naar het buitenzwembad kan of op het terras wat zonnen. De wellness (binnenzwembad/sauna/warmwaterbaden/hydromassage/...) was zeer hygiënisch en voldoende groot voor al de gasten. De moeite waard! Het enige minpuntje is dat alle wegwijsbordjes en ruimtebenamingen in gans het hotel enkel in het Duits geschreven stonden en dat was vaak wat zoeken voor wij niet Duitstaligen. Hier telkens de Engelse vertaling bijzetten zou het perfect maken. Tot slot wil ik zeggen dat ik vast en zeker terugkom naar dit resort. Alleen zal dit in de warmere maanden van het jaar zijn zodat we vollop van de natuur en buitenfaciliteiten kunnen genieten.

The nightly rooms were too hot and uncomfortable. No AC, fan nor air circulation. One window didn't have a screen so you couldn't open it. Suggest offering a fan to quests. Everything else was great: food, meeting rooms, service etc.

The hotel seemed great for a minute. The first front desk woman was kind and allowed us to hold our bags and pay for the spa to kill time since we arrived much earlier than expected. Pool and resting areas are very clean and nice. A lot of options to relax and not a lot of traffic. But when we checked in there was no AC so it was pretty stuffy and hot and never cooled down even with the windows open. The main issue was having the second person working at the front desk try and hold our food we ordered hostage. I am vegetarian so I opted out of their expensive buffet. We got no notice of our food being delivered. Only found out when we passed by the front desk walking around the hotel. The worker proceeded to vaguely threaten us saying we wouldn’t be treated so kindly next time we ordered food to the hotel because it was forbidden. Followed by her hesitating to go behind the counter where our food was being stashed as if she wasn’t going to give it to us. She then reiterated we needed to get our food out of sight to avoid her coworker also being unkind over what we ordered. It was extremely off putting given what we paid for the room and spa. Also there was nothing stated to us about this policy so we were blindsided.

Great for nature and spa lovers with biz meetings in Düsseldorf, as close to A3 exit and great spa, breakfast, nearby hiking and pools.

This hotel is very warm, relaxing and authentic. the smell of wood fire when entering the hotel is just magical. The room is comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is very good and organic. I would recommend it - I love it!

Lovely place with eco policy, excellent food and cozy spa. A bonus if you play the piano there is one in the hotel lobby and guests are allowed to play. The old-fashion style of the hotel pleasantly differs it from standard options. I enjoyed celebrating my birthday at this spa hotel:)

We loved it! Perfect! Exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful relaxing hotel/restaurant/spa. Lots of cosy places to get together. The bar in the evening was really nice too. We highly recommend this lovely place. The value for money is also really good.

The hotel changed the Covid rules when I arrived requiring a test from their guests on a daily basis. It was by far the most retroactive rule any business set up during the time I was in Germany. In addition to this the hotel used to have a reputation of being excellent years ago. It is not a luxury hotel anymore. Rooms are very simple, beds (futon mattress) is sp**** and uncomfortable, the duvet is the quality of a blanket in an old youth hostel and the bathrooms are just old…
