There are parts of this hotel that are great but overall I think it does average out at a 3 star. We stayed in a terrace apartment which was lovely, plenty of space, clean, one of the best showers I've had on a holiday and lovely terrace. Kitchen was well-equipped and there's plenty of storage and a safe you can rent at reception. The only downsides were that the sofa wasn't the comfiest, the ceiling in the bathroom made a loud banging noise sometimes when you opened the door and in our particular apartment the terrace wasn't massively private. Most of them had hedges/plants around the edges to provide some privacy from other people walking around the complex, ours did not for some reason which wasn't a huge problem in December but I wouldn't want to be staying there in summer or when the hotel is fully booked. Also top tip for anyone arriving after dark, I'm not sure if this is the case for all the downstairs apartments but ours had 2 steps down right where the light switch is inside the apartment, which I discovered when I fell down them on our arrival as I went to put the key in the slot to turn on the light (thankfully I didn't hurt myself). The complex itself is in a great location if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle a bit. Nice sea view from the restaurant and pool, the sea front promenade is about a 5 minute walk and it's about a 20 minute stroll to the lighthouse at Maspalomas, passing lots of shops and restaurants on the way (or you can walk the other direction and be at Meloneras beach, shops and restaurants in about 5-10 minutes). We stayed half-board and the food was decent and there was a pretty good choice - the only complaint is that some of the food was often warm rather than hot even if it hadn't been out long. All in all it was a lovely place to stay for a relatively cheap winter sun break
