Sunset Boutique Hotel Marmaris

We thank the Sunset family very much, they hosted me and my family perfectly, the breakfast was very nice, the taste of the pine honey will never leave my mouth, you can have a cocktail at the roof bar on the terrace with a magnificent view and spend time away from everything, facing the view, magnificent sunset time, everything was extraordinary, the hidden paradise of Marmaris, Sunset Boutique Hotel

This wasn't quite what we expected, it is not a standalone building rather it is the upstairs part of a building. The hotel entrance is between restaurants on the marina, it is signposted and at the top of the stairs. We were welcomed and shown to our room a little before check-in time which we appreciated. Our room 205 was very nice with opening windows and a view of the castle. The decor was quirky, but mostly functional with a decent bed and plenty of hanging space. It was quite a dark room even with all the lights on. Plenty of towels supplied and some toiletries. The bed cover was a little rough but luckily we had our own sheet. There was a TV, safe, kettle, hairdryer and water provided. There are some small maintenance issues such as the shower head and one of the blinds but it did not impact our stay. Even though it is very close to the restaurants on the marina it is very quiet. Having breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely, the views were gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious and generous, with a selection of cheeses, salad, breads, olives, honey brought to the table. Also sigara boregi pastries and eggs cooked how you like. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Overall we really enjoyed staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Boutique Hotel. Everything is spotlessly clean and the location is perfect, close to the marina, the old town, the bazaar and many cafes and restaurants. The staff are friendly and responsive. Best of all is the rooftop bar with sweeping views over the harbour. Highly recommended.

Sunset Hotel Marmaris is a lovely boutique hotel ideally located in the centre of Marmaris in the heart of the historical Kaleiçi district. You are right in the port, surrounded by restaurants and a stone's throw from the bazaar for shopping. We selected the Superior Double with Balcony, the most significant room, to ensure we could enjoy the balcony, which gives you great views of the harbour and beautiful hills. The place is spotlessly clean; the only issue would be based on the price point. It's time to retire the grandmother style bedding; this would take this to five-star immediately with new crisp fresh white bed linen. Some creative photography made the relatively tiny bathroom look more significant than reality, but stylish, modern, and hot water was aplenty. You could easily sit outside and watch the sunset and the boats bob in the water as the lights dance over the sea. We did have breakfast included, but unfortunately, we didn't eat breakfast simply because Turkish breakfast tends to be too filling for us digital nomads. The hotel has strong wifi throughout, and the rooftop bar and restaurant host amazing views of the harbour and a friendly little bird. We found the location perfect; you could easily explore all the dining and bar scenes, as everything was on your doorstep. Marmaris is a very popular tourist hotspot, being a port city and a high number of all-inclusive resorts. To obtain the authentic nature of Marmaris and shelter ourselves from the hectic tourism, we loved Dede Restaurant for dining and Alice for cocktails. The family who runs the hotel are lovely and friendly, very accommodating and will make sure your stay is as you expect.

We had 5 nights at the Sunset Boutique Hotel (8 rooms), prior to going on a gulet cruise. The hotel is tucked away in the historic part of Marmaris, next to the Castle and overlooking the bay and the boats drawn up at the Quay. Stunning views and a pleasant breeze from the breakfast terrace and the charming foyer. A short, though hot, walk to the attractive town beach with free sunshades. Turkish breakfast service was lovely, from a husband and wife team, with salad, eggs, cheeses, meats and olives, and lovely homemade jams. As much tea and coffee as you liked. Our room on the ground floor was a good size with aircon, decorated in Turkish Ottoman style. Small but new, well fitted en suite shower room. Would definitely stay here again for the views, the service and the location in the nicest part of the town.
