We spent 2 days, here, although we were very disappointed with Margate itself as a destination, the hotel was a good stay, the staff were Friendly and Mr Diego was a wonderful hospitality host. The bed wasn't the best sleep as it's not a double bed but 2 single beds connected, my partner asked also for a romantic attention and nothing was done. The room itself was very good and it's a plus they accept dogs, bathroom and shower were amazing. Breakfast was well served and staff friendly and attentive. The food in restaurant was good but not much of seafood choices for a restaurant by the sea. Overall great Hotel would definitely use guest house again, looking forward to try the one located in bath. Once again thank you to Mr Diego for the hospitality service.

No wonder Margate is top of everybody's list now adays! From the charming welcome to the seaviews this is possibly the nicest Hotel we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. Chic and yet homely, the team have done a wonderful job, we loved it! The location is amazing, right in the heart of it all; the amazing Italian restaurant around the corner, the beach, dreamland.. thanks again for ana amazing stay.

My son and i stayed here at bank holiday weekend for two nights. We could not have been made to feel more welcome, all the staff are amazing ,kind and considerate. Our twin room was georgous it had a giant roll top bath and a separate shower. The breckfasts were amazing. And the resturant a really beautiful space. We are definatly coming back.

Great place to stay. The concept of hospitality here, has truly been understood, The small hotel group has clearly been extremely well planned and executed with the “Guest” experience truly foremost in their minds. The attention to detail is spot on. Rooms are stylish and comfortable with all you need plus a bit more. The guest pantry is a brilliant idea 👍although possibly a bit too moorish 😂 The staff are friendly and engaging where nothing was too much trouble. ( I had asked for a Bloody Mary for breakfast and although they said there was no bar staff on at the time “they would try their best”, which they did👍) It was delicious but the fact they didn’t just say “No” which is so often the case, was even more appreciated. They clearly appreciate their clients business. We can’t wait to return and even try the others, including the new one coming soon in Brighton.

What a wonderful place to stay. Excellent service, immaculate rooms with great little touches. The roof top bar was a great place to watch the sunset. Can't recommend this place enough. Next time I'm in Margate there is only one place I will be staying!

5/5 service at the GuestHouse with attentive staff, fantastic amenities and lovely little touches to make your stay special - the guest larder is a great touch! The staff were on hand to give a friendly first time welcome to Margate, with complementary umbrellas offered for when the weather turned! The breakfast was also top quality, served with a great view from the restaurant. Will definitely return!

Very welcoming hotel, we arrived early and asked to leave luggage, room was ready so we went straight up. Very nice comfortable room, lovely bed, slept very well. Nice touches with cocktail in the room and a record player. Pantry available on the second floor. The cold water tap was brilliant as we have chilly bottles we take everywhere so the top up was easy. Staff very friendly and helpful, Breakfast was 10 out of 10. Didn’t try the Pearly Cow as had another booking however it was full when we went past. As long as the room is clean, bed is comfortable and shower is hot I’m happy, No 42 had this and more. Look forward to returning.

Fabulous hotel and staff, relaxed vibe. Great location, we had a seaview room which was very comfortable and spacious. The free pantry is a great idea! Rooftop bar has great views, Pearly Cow restaurant was great. Only negatives would be lack of pastries at the breakfast but that;s it. Would def stay again and recommend to others.

Such a lovely stay at No.42! Everyone is super helpful and friendly, some really nice touches with the free pantry and tea/coffee. Designed really well, the bed was so comfy and the rooftop bar is really cool with great views. The only downsides were the walls were a little thin (but they give you ear plugs in the room) and the pillows were quite flat but would still recommend - we had a great stay.
