Van 26 februari tot 5 maart 2022 waren we samen met het gezin van onze dochter Anne-Sophie te gast in Hotel Santer. Schitterend hotel, prachtig gelegen nabij centrum Dobbiaco aan het begin van de vallei richting Cortina d'Ampezzo. Uitstekende en professionele bediening. Ruime, leuke kamers. Smaakvolle gerechten, met een heel ruime keuze. Deskundige en heel vriendelijke service. Eigenaars en staf spreken uitstekend Nederlands. Een aanrader !

Fantastisch hotel dat gerund wordt door een zeer vriendelijke staff. De receptie, de bar, het restaurant de kamermeisjes, allen waren telkens zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. In het restaurant worden de gerechten (grote keuze) zeer zorgvuldig opgediend en een kleine afwijking is steeds mogelijk. Ook aan de receptie is men zeer vriendelijk en spreekt men zelf Nederlands. De wellness is ook een grote troef waar we dagelijks van genoten hebben. Wij waren hier uitermate tevreden!

Zeer sympathiek hotel, gerund door de familie Santer, die er duidelijk een erezaak van maakt om dit zo goed mogelijk te doen. De hele werking van het hotel is duidelijk doordrongen van hun engagement. Wij hadden een junior suite geboekt, met aparte zitkamer en we hadden daar ook twee badkamers bij : eentje met een (groot) bad en eentje met een douche. Mooi ruim dus. Matras had iets beter gekund, en voor dit niveau van hotels verwacht je toch ook wel koffie- en thee faciliteiten. Het hotel heeft een zeer uitgebreid SPA complex, met binnen- en buitenzwembad. Maar de grote troef van dit hotel is toch wel het culinaire : mooi ontbijtbuffet, maar vooral de diners springen in het oog : hier kan je, naar eigen wil en verlangen, elke avond genieten van tot 7 gangen, en toch wel van hoog niveau. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en zal je altijd zoveel mogelijk helpen waar nodig ; werkelijk alle lof hiervoor !

Very nice hotel in a beautiful location. We had a very large room in the new Landro section. Beds were comfortable. It was quiet. If you stay here be sure to book direct and to sign up for half board. It was only 20 Euros per person per day for a wonderful dinner in a beautiful dining room. Multiple courses, salad bar, served desert or desert bar or both. There aren't a lot of good restaurant choices in Dobbiaco so half board is the way to go. Breakfast also great with buffet and eggs cooked to order. Hotel is close to train station but it is a one mile uphill walk to the bus station and most of the buses to the hiking areas leave from the bus station. You can bus to many great hikes, so Dobbiaco provides lots of hiking without need for a car.

Great hotel! Such a beautiful location, amazing interior design, rooms are hughhhh, fun and cozy.
Didn't had the chance to enjoy the spa area, though it looks incredible.
Hotel staff were nice, friendly and helpful.
Would definitely come back.

We wanted to have dinner in the restaurant because we had a celabration. The restaurant is mentioned on local maps, and the description on the website was inviting, so we asked to book a table the day before, but were told immediately that the restaurant was closed for external guests, however the website of the hotel invites all people to come by. Strange...

We had a good-sized deluxe room facing away from the busy road on which this hotel is situated. It had all the amenities you would expect from a 4 star hotel, with the exception of air conditioning. In really hot weather, you may not be that comfortable, especially as there are hundreds of flies ready to enter open doors or windows. Superb bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice deck area. The housekeeping and room cleaning each day was outstandingly good. The breakfast was very good with a large range of choices, and everything fresh and excellent. Parking was easy and good. There were some negatives: while many of the staff were superb (especially Kathi at breakfast) some of the junior staff did not seem well-trained and seemed flummoxed by simple requests (in English or in German). The a la carte dinner menu for those not having the half board option was in our view inadequate: an odd, limited selection of small plates, bland food, poor value. We booked on *********** and half board was not offered. Not allowed to select that option once there, presumably to create an advantage from direct bookings.
