Mayas Beach House

This is a gem of a place, made wonderful by the kind & attentive service of Kish, the owner. He’s so helpful, nothing is too much bother. It’s a very short walk to the beautiful beach. The villa is great, rooms well furnished & lovely (We found the bed to be on the hard side, but that’s a very personal thing & Kish gave us an extra mattress to soften it) The garden is wonderful & neat. Sit on your verandas & watch the sky turn pink in the evening. The open dining room is perfect. The food served is tailored to your tastes & really excellent. Delicious juices. We ate here every night of our stay. An excellent place.

Mr.Kishore is the most gracious and helpful host. Staying here was an absolute treat. It's just a 100 m walk to the beautiful beach. The best part about our stay was the food. Delicious, home made, and authentic cuisine available on prior notice. Mr.Kishore had some fantastic recommendations on what to do and they didn't disappoint at all.

"Home away from home" - This feeling sets it apart from 5 star hotel stays.. Kishore, the host, is excellent as every review mentions. Friendly, caring and helpful and always available during the stay. Food and other facilities will be amended to your choice to make your stay comfortable. Pros: Food was lovely (especially south indian). Beach is just 5min away. I checked it. Just 5min if you walk normally. Don't let other reviews misguide you if it says it's longer Beach is neat. No one there bother you. Cons: Away from city. So if you want to stay in/near city don't come here. Its a small town with houses and shops nearby. Plan your transport. Else Kishore will be happy to help I will visit again if I decide to visit Alleppey. Thanks Kishore again!

We came here for 2 days and was amazed at the warmth and hospitality offered by Mr Kishore and the 2 friendly girls. We had dinner last night and hand on heart we can say it was the best meal of our week's stay in Kochin/ Kerala. Food was so delicious and well presented. Would very much recommend the homely place for anyone looking for a break. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away.. Nr Kishore is very welcoming and a very knowledgable person. Room was very clean and tidy with the use a pool too.

As we were travelling with family we looked out for stays which was private and comfortable. Mayas beach house was amazing and matched all our needs.. Super neat and tidy rooms, the food was delicious and sufficient, Kishore was very helpful and warm towards us, highly recommend it. 😊

Clean, comfy.place, not far from the beach. Our opinion, when you get to the bottom of the lane turn left and the beach is stunning . Few bits of rubbish where the fisher*** hang out (to be expected) Our host (so sorry forgot your name) was the most friendly and helpful person. He asked every morning what we would like for dinner in the evening and went out and got it and it was superbly cooked by the two lovely ladies who also looked after us throughout our stay. My husband lost his hat when a huge wave hit us whilst swimming and he went and got him one straight away. Thanks for making our stay great.

We (family of 10) had booked all 5 rooms, so we had entire property only for us. This property is very well maintained, clean and comfortable. Kishore is a wonderful host, rite from the time of booking he was very helpful and ensured our stay was very comfortable. Thanks a lot for the wonderful memories!

The beach is located just a couple of hundred meters from the Property. Property looks very good and very well maintained. Food served were fresh and delicious. We got to taste variety of Kerala breakfasts like Puttu, kadala curry, stew with appams, motte curry with idiyapams ( Rice stringers). We also tried lunch and dinner of kari meen, chicken curry, sardines, kappa( tapioca) appams, Kerala parrota. The accompaniments of Kerala sadya( vegetarian meal) was outstanding. On our request the host arranged the food to be served on banana leaves. Kishor who owns the place was next to us all the time. A great host made our trip wonderful. His ‘will do’ attitude for any request made our stay memorable. I am sure I will keep repeating my visit to meet this warm jovial gentle*** and have those wonderful meals. I would highly recommend this place.

Great location, quaint, peaceful property. Very close to the beach. Outstanding food and great service. Mr Kishore was very very helpful. He ensured we had a wonderful stay. Well maintained rooms and property. I would certainly recommend this place if you are going with family or friends or even solo.
