Ik heb onlangs het genoegen gehad om in The Manila Hotel in het hart van Manilla te verblijven, en ik moet zeggen dat het een onvergetelijke ervaring was. De toplocatie van het hotel nabij iconische toeristische plekken zoals Luneta, Intramuros en Manila Ocean Park maakt het een fantastische keuze voor reizigers die de rijke geschiedenis en bezienswaardigheden van de stad willen verkennen. Zodra ik het hotel binnenkwam, werd ik gefascineerd door de tijdloze elegantie en klasse. De lange geschiedenis van het etablis*****t was in elke hoek zichtbaar, wat een gevoel van nostalgie aan het hele verblijf toevoegde. Het personeel was uitzonderlijk in hun service: beleefd, attent en altijd bereid om te helpen met een warme glimlach. Het culinaire aanbod in The Manila Hotel overtrof mijn verwachtingen. Van uitgebreid ontbijtbeleg tot verrukkelijke dineropties, elke maaltijd was een heerlijke culinaire reis. De smaken waren voortreffelijk en de aandacht voor detail was lovenswaardig. Een van de hoogtepunten van mijn verblijf was de kamer met een prachtig uitzicht op Intramuros. De kamer was schoon, goed onderhouden en georganiseerd en bood een comfortabele en ontspannen omgeving na een dag vol ontdekkingen. Het uitzicht zelf was een schilderachtige herinnering aan de levendige geschiedenis van de stad. Het is echter vermeldenswaard dat het enige nadeel van mijn verblijf de hardheid van de bedden was. Hoewel de algehele ervaring uitzonderlijk was, liet het comfort van de bedden een beetje te wensen over. Over het geheel genomen maken de centrale ligging, de historische charme en het uitzonderlijke personeel van The Manila Hotel het een uitstekende keuze voor iedereen die Manilla bezoekt. Ondanks de kleine tegenvaller met de bedden, was de algehele ervaring werkelijk opmerkelijk. Ik zou The Manila Hotel ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een stijlvol en verrijkend verblijf in deze levendige stad.

I’ve been in this hotel 3 times in 2025 it always is good the staff are great & always really friendly it’s like a second home to me I’ve been using it for 4 years now when in Manila & breakfast and meals is always excellent

Een verborgen parel! Normaal gesproken reden we gewoon langs dit hotel als we vanuit Quezon City naar Pasay gingen. We waren erg verrast door de topkwaliteit! De kamer was ruim, de faciliteiten geweldig en het eten fantastisch. En het uitzicht op de baai van Manilla was werkelijk prachtig! We komen zeker terug en boeken dit hotel opnieuw. We kregen een upgrade naar de Executive King Ocean View kamer. 💗 Hartelijk dank voor de uitstekende service van mevrouw Kathy van de conciërge.

Affordable hotel at the heart of Manila Chinatown! If you want to experience Manila Chinatown, the world's oldest chinatown, then the Ramada is the best place to start. I took a Binondo Food crawl and decided to book a room so I can fully enjoy Binondo. The room was quite spacious, wide doors and hallways (good access for people on wheelchairs), and quiet. Surprisingly very quiet! Despite it's very central and busy location, I was able to sleep and rest quietly. Aside from the occasional church bell, you won't really hear much of the noise from downstairs. As yu step out of the hotel lobby, you will be welcomed by the hustle and bustle of Binondo. Food stalls and restaurants everywhere. It is a gastronomic adventure and a shopper's paradise. Just a few steps away from the long lines of foodies are bazaars and shops where you can find anything from clothes to jewelry to Chinese charms. At the top of the hotel is Mento, their in-house dining spot, their breakfast buffet is decent but nothing too exciting. You may skip this and go straight outside, you'll need your appetite to fully experience all the food choices available. Just be ready to fall in line for minutes, some really popula shops have lines that go for hours! Overall the hotel is nice, comfortable and quiet. It may feel a bit old, and could use some refurbishing, but I say that's part of the Binondo charm. Old city, rich in tradition, but feels quite like home.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sogo, and I must say that my overall experience was pleasant and satisfying. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how well-maintained and organized the place was. The room was exceptionally clean, which gave me an immediate sense of comfort and relaxation after a long day of travel. The floors were spotless, the linens smelled fresh, and the bathroom was tidy and well-sanitized — no traces of dirt or unpleasant odors at all. The housekeeping staff clearly does an excellent job of maintaining cleanliness. They were very polite and accommodating whenever I requested for towels or extra toiletries. Every time I stepped out and returned, the room was always in perfect order — bed neatly fixed, trash emptied, and surfaces dust-free. Aside from cleanliness, the room ambiance was cozy and peaceful. The air-conditioning worked well, the lighting was just right, and the TV provided a good variety of channels. The bed was comfortable enough for a restful sleep, and the overall environment was quiet, which made it easy to unwind. I also appreciated the staff’s friendliness and professionalism. They greeted me with smiles and made sure that check-in and check-out were fast and convenient. Their hospitality made me feel welcome throughout my stay. The location of the hotel is also a big plus — very accessible to transportation, convenience stores, and restaurants. It’s ideal for travelers who want a clean and affordable place to stay without sacrificing comfort and convenience. Overall, I would describe my stay at Hotel Sogo as clean, safe, and comfortable. It’s a great choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize cleanliness and good service. I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I need a quick and relaxing place to rest.

Het hotel is geweldig als je daadwerkelijk naar het Intramuros-gebied gaat. Het ligt heel dicht bij alle interessante plekken. Wat het hotel betreft, het is echt waar voor je geld omdat het een sterke wifi heeft, er is meer dan één tv-station, er zijn veel stopcontacten voor je oplader, er is een minikoelkast en er is zelfs een föhn! Ik zou echter een emmer en tabo en/of een bidet aanraden. Ik vind het fijn dat ze ons toestonden om onze spullen op het hotel te zetten toen we Intramuros en Ermita bezochten voordat we naar het vliegveld vertrokken. Zou hier zeker weer verblijven.

Locatie verstandig perfect voor mijn wandeling. Niet zozeer in de service, aangezien de receptie niet bij ons terugkomt als er een bestelling of behoefte is. Maar begrijp me niet verkeerd, ze zijn vriendelijk, alleen vergeetachtig. De badkamer is mooi, het is gewoon niet erg schoon... qua kamer perfect, we kregen een upgrade omdat de airconditioner niet werkte in de kamer die ik had geboekt. Over het algemeen komen we terug en blijven... hun wifi is ok vandaag, niet zoals mijn eerdere verblijven waar de wifi niet werkte... het is gewoon zwak... het werkt nog niet. Ik heb ook genoten van het eten. Hoewel niet perfect naar mijn smaak, maar wat de ervaring bracht, was het personeel. . .

The place was nice and clean, and I enjoyed my stay overall. I did notice a couple of things though—some cupboard covers were broken, and the shower door doesn’t close properly, so water splashes onto the toilet floor when you shower. Also, the smell of mothballs and bleach was a bit strong. Maybe use fewer mothballs and mix the bleach with fabric conditioner to reduce the scent next time Other than that, it was a good stay and I’d be happy to come back next time.
