Malagas Hotel

Beautifully situated on the banks of the Breede river. Rooms neat and comfortable,staff friendly and helpful and food good to excellent. Lots of things to do in the area eg winetasting at Sijnn ,bird watching ,river cruises.Pont close by but was not operational during time of our stay.

The room was neat, food was excellent - will definitely recommend the hotel to others. Just a pity we could not used the ferry, as it was out of order.

Impeccable service. Everyone was so nice and friendly and helpful. It's a pity it was raining most of the week so we couldn't go out on the river and the ferry was inopetable, but they made it nice and cozy with the fires. Internet accessibility was not the greatest but to be expected given the location.

Wonderful break away weekend from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Food superb!Time to explore that "unknown"part of the country. Being taken over the river by the ferry was very special. just beware of the ferry times!

My family ( two generations ago ) visited this area regularly and also lived in the neighbouring towns. Again it was therefore very special to stay at the Malagas Hotel and visit the neighbouring Witsand and Cape Infanta villages. Family member Moxy Dunn ( my grandmother 's cousin ) managed the old pont over the Breede River for more than 30 years but nowadays it is serviced by a motorised pont. The staff at the hotel are friendly and very helpful and the 5 course dinner superb. The location next to the river is great. The parking area can be improved while the gardens need a helping hand and some TLC. The common areas in the main building are well kept with an old style bar and snooker table. Will go back tomorrow!!

We stayed there for work. The whole stay was nice and pleasant. Communication with the hotel before arrival was very easy. The rooms are spacious and with everything needed. The staff is very friendly and helpful :-)

We found the Malagas Hotel to be a relaxed establishment with an old-fashioned feel for a weekend away. The garden as you enter is so pretty, with an abundance of flowers and birds. Our welcome was warm and the room was well-appointed and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food, however, was very average and not particularly interesting. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and enjoyed exploring the area.

Thank you to Malagas management and especially your staff. They were so attentive and happy to serve their guests. To me it was a little Eden hidden amongst the beautiful farming lands, situated on the banks of the flowing Breede River banks. Just so relaxing to wake every morning to the many bird calls! brst regards Mandy Burmeister
