Ledra Maleme Hotel

We stayed at the Ledra on the suggestion of family (who we were visiting in Crete). The complex is a lovely place, not too big, and has a more intimate feel which is decorated lovingly with flowers and plants. We should point out that we went before 'the season' started, so it was on the quieter side, and some aspects were only half running- i.e the restaurant and bar were on restricted hours. This didn't stop us enjoying our stay, as we went out with family during the day/evenings anyway. Each morning we had breakfast on site, with continental style breakfasts, fresh eggs, fresh orange juice and tea/coffee. The rooms were homey, comfortable beds, good bathrooms and they also contain small amenities should you wish to cook for yourself or get yourself hot drinks. There were a few nights with disturbances from neighbours, but that can't always be helped and for the main part the night-time sounds weren't too bad. The Ledra is close enough to mini-markets and a larger 'super market' too for those who wish to do some grocery shopping, and multiple restaurants, coffee shops and bars to explore too. It takes around 10 minutes to walk to the pebble beach too which is a benefit, and 5 minutes to the nearest bus stop. Kostas and his team are great, really welcoming and helpful and we give him full credit for all the jobs he managed to juggle during our stay. Sadly we didn't use the pool whilst there (apart from dipping our feet in) but it looked clean and inviting, a good size too, as well as a 'kiddies pool' alongside. Toward the end of our stay a pool and air hockey table were delivered which we had fun with one evening, as well as a ping pong table. It's a great spot to use as your stay, whether you wish to do more exploring off site or stay and relax on site, it fits both bills. Again, thank you Kostas and crew.

lovely family run hotel very clean modern looking rooms very chilled family a**osphere,pebbly beach about 5 minutes walk. large supermarket around the corner a few restaurants tavernas close by bus stop top of road for easy access into chani and along the coast . plantanias resort about 5 minutes bus ride . would definitely consider coming back . even got free upgrade to superior apar**ent 👍

What an amazing place to stay, spotlessly clean friendly staff and weather was amazing! The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily! Maleme is very small village so not a lot of restaurants esp in oct as there are a lot that are closed. We got the bus a few times into Chania as there was more choice, this cost less than €5 for two of us one way but well worth the visit. We would def return to Crete and this hotel thank you Costa and team for a lovely holiday.

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday here. Kostas and his family were friendly, welcoming and unbelievably helpful. Room and all common areas are kept spotlessly clean. Weekly Cretan night is great fun. Hotel is a short walk from the beach and nearby shops and restaurants. Although the area is small and peaceful there are enough bars and restaurants to give you enough options to not get boring for a 2 week stay. Easy, regular bus ride to Xania, which is definitely worth at least a couple of visits. Nothing we didn’t like about this hotel, thanks Kostas for a lovely holiday! Paul & Sam

When my wife and I go on holiday all we usually do is sit on the beach and relax. We chose the Ledra due to being so close to the beach, however we did not spend one day on the beach. The relaxing environment around the pool was absolutely fantastic with all day sunshine (plenty of umbrellas if to hot) and a poolside bar one side of pool and a restaurant the other side you have all you ever need. Costa the owner is everywhere in the complex and is all ways at hand to help you enjoy the experience even more. There are not many restaurants in Maleme but don't bother with any of them because the Ledra restaurant is fantastic for either light lunch or evening meal. An added bonus is we have meet some new life long friends and it was the a**osphere of the Ledra and facilities that enhanced the friendship, The rooms are plenty big enough and have everything you need for a self catering holiday. Finally a big thank you Costa, Peter and all the staff - see you next year.

Well what can I say about our home from home..I was diasapointed to read some of the negative reports, but as for our experience. We've come to the Ledra now on our eigth vist..Its easy to book direct with Maria and George or on one of the package operators. An extremly lovley welcome as always from Costas and Micheal. As always our rooms were spotlessly clean and airy,We had room 55 and our freinds had the next room in the newer block.The food again supurb and prepaired freshly and on the day, unless something had to be marinated. Our friends also enjoyed.Its a place where we brought other family memers and Costas and Micheal have mde us all feel welcome...the pool always clean, sunbeds clean and never that full..We've birthdays and anniversaries, all fantastic....We regard them as extended family and will always return year after year...just a foot note...My Mother and father inlaw also loved it her, they wer very well traveled and stayed in some of the best hotels,cruses and yachts...My mother inlaw said to me one day...If she was top win the lottery ..She would just come to The Ledra because its every thing she wanted out of a hotel,brilliant services and wonderfull people...Sadly now both passed, but ther is a heart in the olive tree there so they can be rememberd...

Beautiful hotel. Really nice hotel, clean rooms, really good location to food and beaches. Hotel at food was really good. Staff all really friendly. There was 2 of us and it was really nice for couple, very quiet and relaxed. Would recommend highly to people, would love to come back.

Our second stay here. Good base for exploring western Crete. Costas and the team are great hosts and keep the hotel friendly, easy to use and clean.

Wonderful hotel, and a REALLY GOOD restaurant. Perfect service and food. The owner is a really good host and the food is absolutely magnificent. If you want to have an authentic restaurant experience. Come here. You will not regret it in a million times.
