Futura Hotel

We stayed at Futura for a week from 8th August with our family, and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome, and Futura was exactly what we needed. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely throughout our stay. The location is fantastic too — it’s close to Platanias, making it really easy to get out and explore, while still feeling relaxed and peaceful. Booking trips through the hotel was so easy, and the little train picking up right outside was a great way to get around and explore the area. Taxis were also really easy to arrange, which made getting about completely hassle-free. A special thank you to George, who was particularly helpful when I became unwell towards the end of our holiday and needed some medical assistance. The support and kindness we received from the team really meant a lot. Please pass on our thanks to Georgina, Nick, Ava, George and the whole team - you were all fantastic. Despite me becoming increasingly unwell towards the end of the week, it didn’t take away from what was a brilliant holiday. We genuinely had such a lovely time and are already planning to come back in the future.

Great hotel, friendly staff and close to alot of restaurants and shops. The poolarea is perfect and not to crowded. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a friendly chill vacation. Will return in the future!

Initially enjoyed our stay until the last day where the hotel was overtaken by what can only be described as spring break Americans celebrating 4th July. Utterly horrendous shouting, swearing infront of my child, music blasting so loud we could hardly talk to each other in our room. Couldn't use the pool or bar on last day as totally taken over by the large group. No sleep until early hours had to complain to get the music turned down. Staff did turn music down but couldn't really care less told me I shouldn't have booked the hotel and somehow my fault our room overlooked the pool. We came here as we thought it was relaxing and quiet, it turned into a total nightmare, our daughter was crying in the room as she couldn't sleep.

My partner and I had such an amazing time here. The room was immaculately clean, the housekeeper came daily and left little towel animals on our bed. The bar area is just so relaxing and peaceful, the food was absolutely incredible so much so towards the end of our holiday we ate here every night. Nick and the bar staff were great, helpful and so welcoming. The location is perfect between Kolmbari and Chania. Great pool, great staff, great food, AMAZING MARGARITAS genuinely cannot wait to go back!

We arrived very late night/early morning and was met my Georgina and shown to our suite, it was amazing definitely better than we thought. We had an amazing g 10 days at tge Futura Hotel and would definitely consider going back and recommending it to friends. The staff were all very friendly and our cleaners were excellent, cleaning rooms every day and laundry frequently. The food at the pool bar was excellent when we ate there but ate out a lot also as plenty of places to go. Thank you Georgina a d family for our stay with you.

We stayed for one week at the start of June and had the best time. To begin, the best thing about this hotel is the staff. It is a family run hotel and they make you feel like that too. All of the staff take an interest in you and chat to you. We played quite a few games of UNO with Ava! They all work incredibly hard all day, especially Ava and Nick. They were incredibly hospitable and want to ensure you are having a good time. They’ll give you plenty of recommendations, help you book taxis, etc. They’re also great fun to drink with - we had a few late nights around that bar! I cannot fault the staff at all and cannot wait to go back. Additionally, we got a free upgrade to an apartment which meant we had a large living area and kitchenette. The bed was HUGE and the dressing table with a light above and hairdryer next to it was perfect for getting ready. Lots of storage in the room and in the kitchen too. The bed was super comfy and you had lots of options for layers and pillows. The aircon was perfect, and I run very hot so it was a welcome relief that the room got so cold so quick, but it was also easily controllable so the room wasn’t too cold at night. The water pressure was also great. Rooms cleaned well and daily. Not the fanciest room in the world, but homely, clean and comfortable - perfect for a summer holiday. The pool (thanks to Nick!) is immaculate and sparkling blue. All of the grounds are beautiful with lots of lovely plants and flowers. Lots of sunbeds and never a fight to get one. Great options for the shade or sun and lots of umbrellas. The bar is also fantastic. Well stocked and they will get in specifics if that’s what you want. I don’t drink dairy and they made me a yummy frappe each day without milk and let me experiment with the sweetness level - same for my partner but with milk! Cocktails are gorgeous too, I recommend a mango frozen marg! They got to know our evening order straight away and kept us topped up - with lots of raki too! Lovely respite from the sun under the umbrellas at the bar. It doesn’t get too busy but is a great atmosphere in the evening. The food is also brilliant. We sampled lots from the souvlaki to the salads. Our favourites were the Futura Burger and the gyros at lunch! Not expensive either. We didn’t have breakfast as we aren’t breakfast people but we heard great things. The location is also ideal. Less than 5 minutes to a big supermarket, the same for some cafes, and about 10-15 to the coast where there are more restaurants and bars along the coast (such as The Wave and Mythos Bar). We had the best lamb of the holiday in The Passing which is en route to the beach front. We didn’t want the hustle and bustle of the main resort areas such as Chania, so this was an ideal location to be set back from the madness whilst having an atmosphere. We had the best holiday staying in this lovely hotel for a week, the family running the hotel are very kind and friendly and made us feel at home. The room was spacious and spotless, I loved the beautiful plants and flowers all around, pool was a great size with plenty of sun beds and a bar. There was always a lovely selection of vegetarian options for breakfast, in the restaurant we had a really tasty meal, Nick made a vegetarian moussaka for me which was delicious. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a bus stop just outside the hotel. Miss you all, hope to return one day x

Absolutely amazing stay! It wasn’t just a pleasant stay.. it was truly special in every way. The people working at this hotel made all the difference. It felt like being welcomed into a family. Whatever you need, they’re there for you. Whatever you ask for, they go above and beyond. They’re simply the best! Highly recommend! Go, go, go!

Had an amazing stay at Futura, very beautiful trees and flowers surrounded the hotel area and the pool was very lovely! Staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome.
