Internet connection is appallingly slow, internet connection is a vital function for 21st century, and it was barely on 2 bars, it is extremely slow, even for regular browsing

the room cleanliness was terrible. Air conditioner did not work at all and the room got stuffy and unable to breath.

Hotel is older, but quaint - small, but suited our purposes. Just don't miss the call box on the outside edge of the door.

Good location. Poor bedding and sheets. Not even a water glass or a cattle in the room. Bed was very hard. The room was smelling cigarette. This is more a bag packer hostel than a proper central Madrid hotel. The staff can to help when asked for it.

We have stayed at Hotel Life before so thought we knew what to expect. The hotel check in was difficult because it was to be done remotely. The emails were in Spanish and I contacted the hotel to ask them to send me the information in English. They sent it again in Spanish.
The hotel was cold and the heating wasn't working properly. We had to dress up warm to go to bed!
The hotel is now very tired and needs refurbishing.

The unic complain was that we order the cleanning continue service and they didn't clean the room.

I was supposed to have stayed at Gran Vía and after waiting for a code past 16:30 I had to find a number to get someone to explain. I had to make a few calls to get an answer to be told to go to another sister hotel. The service was excellent! However the room smell was strong of cigarette and the AC did not cool down the room.

Alojamiento muy confortable, excelente ubicación y un ambiente muy acogedor. Me gustaría destacar la amabilidad del personal, especialmente la de Michael que se encarga de la recepción. Te atiende con una gran profesionalidad, simpatía y cordialidad. Este tipo de personas son las que convierten la estancia en una experiencia más entrañable, haciéndote sentir como en casa. Para repetir cuando vuelva a Madrid.
