Hostal Silserranos

Excellent service! The staff are really nice and always ready to help. The location is also perfect since the Tribunal metro station is pretty close to the hotel.

Es un hostal situado en pleno centro de Madrid. Con unas habitaciones y baños limpios y amplios. Cuando estuvimos nosotros fue muy silencioso, a pesar de tener pasillos con muchas habitaciones. Ha sido una agradable sorpresa. Totalmente recomendable. Yo repetiré.

Simples e agradável

L’hostal si trova vicinissimo alla fermata Tribunal (Metro linea 1) da cui con 2 fermate o 10minuti a piedi, si raggiunge la Puerta del Sol (centro cittadino). Pur essendo un hostal, niente a che vedere con un ostello, ha tutto quello che serve. La nostra stanza aveva 2 grandi letti singoli che uniti si sarebbero trasformati in un letto “super King Size” (da me molto apprezzato poichè sono molto alto). Il bagno in camera, privato ovviamente, era dotato di tutte le comodità, prodotti da bagno inclusi. Non c’è il Bidet, c’è però un vasca e una doccia. Ovviamente lo stabile è dotato di ascensore anche se, a voler essere pignolo, ci sono una decina di gradoni, comodi, dal piano stradale al pianerottolo. Molto cordiale e disponibile il personale, sia alla reception che quello che si occupa delle stanze. Buono il prezzo con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo Insomma se torniamo a Madrid, sarà la nostra prima scelta.

How has no one written a review of this place in 3 years? I'd give it 4.5 stars but couldn't quite go 5. Didn't have notes for some reason so let's see what I remember. It was an easy trip from the airport and the only small issue is the building is hidden as you're walking along the street (I've got a pic of the doorway included if that helps), go up a flight or two to the hotel (past a school of some sort). We arrived really early and couldn't check in but they were nice and we used a bathroom to freshen up and head out. They gave us a triple room for 2 of us for some reason, nice to have the extra space. It was surprisingly quiet even tho we were on the main drag, beds were pretty comfortable, decent bathroom. Can't remember the internet connection or outlet situation but typical I think. Lots of stuff in the area (go to Harvey's down the street!), easy to walk to many places and a great price. Would def. stay there again.

This was a great hostel. It was clean , neat and the staff were very helpgul. We couldnot have asked for mote regarding location. Taxis, buses, the fabulous Metro were all mere steps away.thete wete so many places to eat and enjoy a glass of wine or two. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

The hostel is in a relatively good location and right between two metro stops, which is great. Sleep is difficult though due to noise in the street and noise in other rooms which goes right through the thin walls. It's also pretty hot and the AC doesn't work. Water pressure is so strong you have to barely open the faucet in the shower or you'll soak the entire bathroom as the shower head explodes upward. To reach the shower head, you must play basketball or be part-giraffe. Overall, the hostel probably rates a 2/5 but the front desk's attitude was so poor I give the place a 1. I made a mistake and thought I was booked to stay one more night than I was. Instead of contacting me when I dialed to check out, they said nothing. I didn't know until I woke up the next day to an early morning phone call. The man spoke in an elevated tone telling me they'd charged my card an extra night, you're welcome, and I had to leave right then. I packed up quickly and went to return the key. He then spoke angrily telling me the mess I'd caused them but they'd been able to pull it off for me, as though they'd done me some huge favor. At no point had I been told there was an issue. No one emailed, called, put a note under my door, anything. The man's comportment was unnecessarily rude and a continuation of the brusque way he treated me when I'd checked in. I lived in Madrid a long time. His behavior was not culturally typical.

Great experience: welcoming staff, attentive daily housekeeping, and very clean rooms. Excellent location.
