The hotel is pretty average. Close to the downtown. Has a nice tour services with reasonable prices. So I can recommend

แย่มากๆ เงินหายที่นี่ ทั้งของเราและเพื่อน เราเมลไม่ถามโรงแรม เขากลับบอกมาว่าเราไม่เช็คให้ดีเอง แล้วไม่เอาเงินไว้ในตู้เซฟเอง คือเงินจำนวนไม่เยอะ เราก็ไม่ได้จะใส่เซฟอยู่แล้ว เราใส่ไว้ในกระเป๋าเล็กๆของกระเป๋าสะพายอีกทีนึง แล้วไม่ได้เอาไปไหนเลย แต่ไม่คิดว่าจะหาย รู้เลยว่ามีคนค้นกระเป๋าแน่ๆ เงินไม่ได้หายไปทั้งหมด เหลือเอาไว้บางส่วน เหมือนตั้งใจจะให้เราจับผิดยาก ทางรร.ก็โทษเราว่าไม่ยอมเก็บให้ดีๆเอง และหาว่าเราไปดิสเครดิสเขาด้วย โอโห้ ไม่เคยเจอการตอบกลับลูกค้าแบบนี้มาก่อน นิสัยแย่มากๆทั้งพนักงานที่ขโมยไปและเจ้าของ อีกอย่างเราต้องจ่ายเงินเพิ่มตอนเขาพักเพราะทางรร.บอกว่าเพจจองใส่ข้อมูลของราคาผิด เราก็แอบสงสัยแล้วนะ แต่เขาก็อธิบายว่าระบบมีปัญหาจริงๆ เราก็โอเค ตกลงจ่ายเพิ่มไป เพราะหาที่พักอื่นยากแล้ว แล้วทางรร.ก็หาว่าเราไม่โอเคกับการจ่ายเพิ่มเลยหาเรื่องมาดิสเครดิสเขา ไม่คิดเลยว่ารร.จะคิดแบบนี้กับลูกค้า เสียความรู้สึกมากๆ ห้องก็ไม่ใช่ว่าจะดี ราคาก็ไม่ได้ถูกๆนะ แย่ที่สุด!

Het meisje bij de receptie was heel erg aardig en behulpzaam. We hebben hier onze excursies geboekt en hij kocht ook treinkaartjes voor ons om naar Vientiane te gaan. Uiteraard is er beter, maar voor de betaalde prijs is het oké. De kamer was schoon en ruim. Voldoende ontbijt, je kunt één ding kiezen om te eten en één om te drinken van de lange lijst en ze brengen ook vers fruit en vruchtensap. Goede wifi. NEGATIEVE OPMERKINGEN: het raam keek uit op de muur van het naastgelegen huis (heel dichtbij) en er was niets om koffers of rugzakken op te plaatsen. We moesten alles op de grond houden... Toch zou er niet veel nodig zijn om te verbeteren!

I have visited Luang Prabang several times and Elephant Boutique Hotel is always my top choice. The rooms are very comfortable and always incredibly clean. The AC/fan are great and the water is hot and a good pressure. Breakfast is delicious and very good value — lots of coffee, juice, fruit, western or Lao choices. At night, it is quiet and you get a great night’s sleep. Easy to come back later (for bowling…) or leave early in the morning (for the monks etc) if needed. Most importantly, the owners are fantastic. They are very welcoming, trustworthy and honest. They can take care of any request: tours, transport (trains and buses), laundry, money exchange, city tips etc. They have always proved reliable. I would reccomend this place to anyone visiting Luang Prabang — value for money it is fantastic.
