Spa & Sport Hotel Mar y Sol

This was my first trip on holiday as a solo disabled traveller. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone with a disability. All the staff were extremely helpful and courteous, nothing was too much trouble for them. Any dificulties/problems were dealt with promptly, my only problem was the WiFi was not working from my room, (it worked everywhere else in the hotel) ,informed reception, who said it may be the router in my room was the problem, this was sorted out within 10 minutes. Accessibility for the disabled is excellent (UK hotels could learn a lot from this hotel!), no awkward, steep or makeshift ramps. The heated pool is easily accessible, and if needed the life guard is on duty all day and will use a hoist to get you into/out of pool, your towel at the ready for you when you get out, there are also disabled changing/shower rooms poolside for privacy. The choice of food at breakfast and evening meal was extensive, wide ranging to suit all tastes. The waiters are on hand to help at mealtimes. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable holiday, will definitely be going back to this hotel.

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in, the accommodation was third rate! The food was poor, only ate in the hotel on 4 nights of a 14 night holiday, cracked tiles in the bathroom, the hob in the kitchen area should have been thrown out 20 years ago, the cutlery tray consisted 2 teaspoons 2 thirds of a tin opener & a corkscrew.

We are returning guests since long. After dinner my kid ask to play ping-pong (8:30 PM), answer was "No, it's too late" . Right after they started to play very loud music to after 10:00 PM. Conclusion: No kids hotel, family please go elsewhere.

We went to this hotel with my work for our client who has cerebral palsy. He has a wheelchair and this hotel was perfect for him. Lovely spacious rooms with a large shower room. A lovely warm pool with jets for massage. An additional pool which is much deeper and colder. The food was plentiful for breakfast and dinner. The staff were very friendly. A special thanks to Ruben. A Very clean hotel. Will definitely stay again

As a wheelchair user who has been throughout Europe on holiday mar y sol hotel in los Cristianos is by far the best hotel regarding access, layout and facilities which is why I have been coming here for more than a decade.

One of the worst hotels i've ever stayed in, and i've seen lot of hotels all around the world. Temperature inside room measured at 35 celcius. Hardly got any sleep in this heat in their terrible bed. Sheets were soaking wet after every sweaty night, but still they didn't change them once. After 4 nights i changed hotel, even though it was paid for. Also rooms in poor condition and crawling with ants. Breakfast served only after 8...

We come to this hotel every year for 10 years and always remain delighted with the service: everything is done with care and love for the guests of the hotel. Separately, I would like to mention the hotel’s restaurant and everyone involved in the work of the restaurant:despite on whether it is breakfast or dinner,a huge selection of delicious buffe dishes are served every morning and evening , where everyone will definitely find something to their taste from meat to fish, or vegetarian dishes included a variety of fruits and desserts .Breakfast is something you also don't want to miss .Everything is very tasty and fresh! The price is quite low, if you look at what an amazing delicious food is included in the hotel stay :)Many thanks to the staff, and we will definitely come back next year again!:)))

I stayed in building 4, the oldest part of the hotel, in a studio flat. There was a large cooker with four cooking plates and an oven but apart from an electric kettle, 2 cups and saucers, a can opener and a cork screw there wasn't any equipment. The sofa bed was quite short, I guess it was less than 2 metres long. There was no hair dryer in the room, even though it is mentioned on the hotel's own homepage that a hair dryer is a part of the equipment. One can borrow one from the reception for a deposit of 30 €. The smoking restrictions at the hotel are not as strict as mentioned, I saw several people smoking by the pool away from the designated smoking areas, No staff commented on this. There were more guests at the hotel with small dogs! Strange when the hotel is recommended to people with as**a! I liked the breakfast and supper buffets but notice that NO drinks are included at supper! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I stay in house 4 in a studio flat, the oldest part of the hotel. -There is a kitchenette with a large oven and the possibility to use 4 saucepans at the same time but apart from a tin opener, a cork screw , 2 cups and saucers and an electric kettle the kitchen is empty. -There is a fridge but no freezer. -In my flat there is no hair dryer even though the hotel has mentioned a hairdryer on the list of equipment in every flat! One can borrow a dryer from the reception when paying a deposit of 30$! --The sofa bed is quite short, my guess is less than 2 metres! I don't think the hotels' smoking policy is kept because there was a man smoking his cigarette by the pool ! A german woman had her small dog with her in a bag on her wheel chair while swimming. I find this is strange when the hotel is recommended to people with as**a! The staff are all very kind and helpful.
