Alleen het ontbijtbrood was niet vers ( oud) jammer want verder was alles prima op het fruit na , ook dit was ver overrijp helaas !

Verzorgd hotel met vriendelijke bediening. Goede bedden, propere kamers. Alleen is het hotel in een maatschappelijk achtergestelde buurt gelegen. Het onveiligheidsgevoel was groot toen we te voet naar het centrum gingen. Dat hadden we niet verwacht in een kleine stad als St-omer.

Nice hotel and nice staff but the breakfast service really pulled the whole experience down from giving the hotel a 5. Too busy for the single member of staff to cope with resulting in free tables that were unable to be sat at as they hadn’t been cleaned and empty dishes at the buffet. We had two separate stays within the same month as we used it as a break in driving across France to the UK and had the same experience at breakfast both times. The first time we stayed the air con in the whole hotel had broken and the hotel could not offer us a fan and didn’t offer any sort of recompense too which was a disappointment. Despite this the hotel was otherwise immaculately clean and comfortable hence the 4* review.

We had an excellent stay. The room was very clean, and we requested a cot that was honoured without a problem. Restaurant was good, food and drink offerings were thought were well varied and value for money. Staff were polite. We will definitely return.

This is a tale of 2 halves. When I tried to book online, I wanted 3 rooms but every time I tried to pay I got the message saying that these rooms were not available. I was booking through the All - Accord site - their own. I tried 9 times using different debit and credit cards. I finally emailed the hotel and was told that they could book the rooms for me but the price was higher. I explained this and even sent a screenshot of the price that the site quoted - but to no avail. Eventually, I tried booking each room as a separate transaction and was successful. I did complain to the CEO but they just responded that they didn’t have evidence of my doing that even though I offered to provide it as I’d used a cashback site and they recorded my attempts. This was utterly disappointing. Second half - the hotel was lovely as were the staff. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable . Although an extra, there was secure parking at the back. The bar was open until 2 a.m. it was a great stay.

Excellent hotel. Lovely modern bedroom and bathroom. Convenient gated car park. You park at the front to collect a keycard and then drive to rear to the car park. Excellent restaurant for dinner. Serving staff at dinner super helpful. Normal French breakfast, but fresh fruit salad and scrambled eggs once used up were not replaced on the two mornings we were there. Good system for filtered cooled water to save single use plastic

I’m a fan of the Mercure brand. You know what you should be getting, and generally you do. This hotel is no exception. I choose Privilege rooms, because we like the extras. Whilst the decor here isn’t to everyone’s taste you can’t fault the quality. Private secure parking and good restaurant too. Recommended.
